"Was this some type of betrayal?!" Asch yelled furiously as he stepped closer to the human while she took a step back and bumped into Rhys. What Lyra didn't expect was to Rhys to hold an arm over her waist in a protective fashion.
"I was with her the whole time your majesty, never once have I seen her call in reinforcements." Rhys uttered calmly as he stared at the prince. Lyra stuttered over her words while her face slowly tinted a light pink. Suddenly realization hit her.
"Jake, what were you doing in my apartment anyways?" After the brown haired girl asked, the landlord began stuttering over his words which made the girl uncomfortable knowing he couldn't say his reasoning.
"D-Do something with your magic to make him forget!" Lyra uttered out frantically as she took a small step forward causing the warmth of Rhys arm to fade away. Soon Leif chuckled out a 'leave it to me' before knocking Jake out.
Lyra eyes widened but didn't complain. The daemos' began to compliment Leif on his smart thinking and more. Sighing, Lyra demanded the others to hide their horns and put on their human clothing before Jake woke up. The daemos' obeyed to the order before walking through the wall.
The girl made her way to the landlord as she tossed one of his arms around her shoulder. "Rhys, stay here and make sure the others put on their human clothes." Lyra mumbled as she struggled to get the heavy man to the front door, Rhys just nodded as he waited in the living room.
Once Lyra was able to make it to the door, she set down Jake into a sitting position as like he got knocked in the head by the door. The girl mentally played the act in her head over and over again to make sure nothing goes wrong.
The sound of sudden groans and movements startled Lyra as she glanced down at her landlord. She plastered a fake worried expression on her face while her hazel eyes met with his olive colored eyes.
"Oh gosh! I'm so sorry Jake, I must've hit you with my door a little too hard, I'm so sorry!" Lyra cried out as she knelt down to his level and to make the act more believable she eyes danced all over his face to make sure there were no wounds or bumps.
"Y-You did? I could've sworn I saw demons in your house-" Jake was interrupted with a heartily laugh coming from the girl's lips which made his eyes sparkle with admiration.
"You must've had a terrible dream when you were knocked out, again I'm so sorry, Jake. I'll make it up to you." Lyra said softly as possible before standing back up once again. "Well, I gotta go do some things around the house, so see you around!" She mustered out a small little wave before closing the door.
Sighing with relief, Lyra made her way to the living room before frowning to see the daemos' still in their usual clothing, except Rhys. Her hand reached out from the remote on the kitchen counter before tossing it at Leif, which he caught and stared at it.
"What's this?" He asked as he glanced at the female who was right in front of her bedroom door. "Remote control, learn for human manners. And please put on your clothes." Lyra mumbled out as she walked in her room calling it a day.
Noi glanced at Rhys and asked if the female was mad at them which Rhys replied with a simple answer.
"Now, let me tell you guys about ice cream!"
