The Fox and the Rabbit!

Chapter 1

"Get back now, It's going to lunge!"
Suddenly the four people in the clearing jumped back as a black furred giant wolf like bipedal creature growled and swiped towards the masked man in red armor.
"Fox, be careful!" The man in the blue armor calls out as he thrusts his falchion at the chest of the large feral creature.
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. I know." The man who was called Fox shook his head while he grabs his shield and blocked the large set of claws that came for him again.
The smallest of the bunch screams out in a war cry kind of way as he jumps off a rock and plunges his sword into the back of the neck of the creature. With that blow the creature cries out with a loud howl and falls snout first to the ground.
"Fuck yes!" The little man stands up on the back of the werewolf and starts doing a dance.
"Great job Goose! That's my good buddy!" Fox says as he raises his hand for a high five and then joins him in dancing.
"No time for celebrating guys. Just off its head and let's go. I think Rabbit and Raven are still getting the brown werewolf over there." The man in blue armor turns to pick up the claws then heads in the direction of where the other werewolf is heard to be.
Fox rolls his eyes and raises his sword bringing it down upon the creature's neck lobbing it clean off. While Fox is picking up the head a brown mule walks past him. Upon the back of this mule was the short man he called Goose.
"Come on, we have to help. Remember how weak Rabbit is." He extends his hand to Fox who takes it and jumps upon the back of Goose's mule.
"Yeah, I'm still surprised Lion let her come with us." Fox Laughed as he attached the werewolves head to the side of the mule's saddle.
Further down into the forest a woman in all red and a man in all black are both fighting a light brown werewolf. The man in blue armor comes running up in time to assist in stopping the werewolf from biting the woman.
"Rabbit, you need to pay attention. You almost got bit." He says as he lowers his shield from in between her and the wolf.
A bolt of lightning goes over their heads and into the eye of the creature. Behind them stands the man in all black with his hand crackling with blue lightning.
"Lion, I get that this is also a teaching moment for her, But this feral is getting angrier by the second." He shoots off another lightning blast and backs up.
Lion grabs the back of Rabbit's top and pulls her back behind him. He lifts his sword to swipe back at the claws coming for them. Rabbit gets her crossbow ready to continue the fight when she hears the casual squeal of Goose coming towards them. Forgetting to pay attention Rabbit turns her head to look and sees both Goose and Fox come over the hill on Goose's mule.
"LOOK OUT!" Lion yells as in one quick moment a set of claws come down upon Rabbit's shoulder and across her chest.
"RABBIT!" Fox calls out from on the hill. He quickly jumps off of the mule and rushes down, almost stumbling and rolling down the hill. Raven gave the werewolf one more lightning blast to the center of its head and it fell to the forest floor.
Fox rushes to Rabbit and picks her up cradling her head in his lap. Goose comes trotting down the hill as Lion lobs off the head of the werewolf.
"Raven, call your horse we need to get her back to the compound and yours is currently the fastest." Lion calls out while attaching the freshly lobbed off head to Goose's mules saddle.
Raven whistles and in a quick moment out of the brush trots a black and gray horse. Raven bends down and motions to Fox to pick her up to get her on the horse. Once Rabbit was carefully situated on the horse, raven hops up to be extra security for Rabbit and rides off quickly.
"Alright, everyone grab your horses and let's get back. We need to help Raven if he needs to make a cure or not. Also, Goose, stop making those stupid sounds that easily distracts people so this doesn't happen again!" Lion smacks the back of Goose's head while walking past him.
The three whistle for their mounts to come over, once on their mounts they head back home to their base. Fox had a serious look of pure focus on his face as he pushed his horse to go faster than it normally goes.

Once back at base Raven rushes Rabbit into her own infirmary, gently placing her on one of the beds. Before he could start checking her over, the door to the room swings open as Fox comes in. He rushed to her bedside grabbing her hand right away. Raven looks at him a bit confused and clears his throat. Fox starts to scratch the back of his neck and looks away from her and at Raven.
"Oh, I was checking her pulse." He spoke with a slight stammer to his voice.
"Well I was actually about to check her over and then go make a lesser cure just in case. Can you help me remove her armor so I can check the wound." Raven walks over to the table to grab some bandages.
Fox threw off his hood and mask so he could assist better. His jet black hair slicked back but a few strands loose from his taking the hood off quickly. Fox runs his fingers through his hair making sure to go around the horns coming out of his forehead. Fox starts to help Raven slowly remove Rabbit's armor making sure to of course leave her under clothes on. Fox takes off her hood and mask and gently wipes the light strands of her hair to one side and out of her face.
Raven inspects her face and sees a scratch across her face from her left horn down her cheek over her left shoulder and down to her chest. Raven stops at the point where he would have to lift her shirt. You could see a slight blush through his black mask.
Fox shakes his head and lifts Rabbit's shirt a bit to still be a little modest. The scratch he's go to the right side of her body under her fairly large bust. Her skin starts feeling hot under Fox's touch and her face scrunches as she gasps for air and her hands grab the bed sheets.
"Oh shit! Let me go make that cure. Can you bandage her wounds for me, I will be back." Raven asks as he rushes out of the room.
Fox has a slight look of panic on his face as he grabs the bandages and starts to dress Rabbit's wounds. After Fox dressed her wounds he sat in the chair next to the bed. Raven walked in with a small golden chalice in hand.
"Lift her head. I made a greater cure just in case I was too late." Raven crossed the room and sat on the edge of the bed right next to Rabbit. Raven places the edge of the Chalice against Rabbit's full lips and forces her to drink it.
"You might want to prepare if you have to hold her down." Raven says as he pulls away the now empty chalice from Rabbit's mouth and then places it on the table next to the bed. Fox lightly moves his chair closer to her bed prepared to hold her down.
"You go. I have this." Fox says as he moves to the edge of his chair, so close he is practically sitting on the bed.

A few hours go by, Fox has slumped over on the chair and had fallen asleep. Rabbit blinked opened her eyes and groaned a little. Rabbit looks around the room confused where she was at first until she notices the sleeping face of Fox next to her on the bed. She places her hand on the top of his head, running her fingers through his slicked black hair. A slight chuckle escaped her lips along with a little cough. She winces slightly from the pain in her chest. She looks down at her chest to see the fresh bandages. She slowly runs her fingers across the bandages and sighs a little.
At that moment the doors to the room open and Lion steps in. Instantly Rabbit shushes him and places a finger on her lips while motioning her eyes towards Fox who is still asleep on the edge of the bed.
"How are you feeling?" Lion does his best to whisper even though he genuinely doesn't care if he wakes Fox up.
"What happened?" Rabbit does her best to sit up as Lion quickly moves to help her sit up.
"Seems that Goose accidentally distracted you while we were fighting and the werewolf swiped at you so hard you got slightly afflicted. But it is ok, Raven made you the cure and they gave it to you already." Lion examines the mark on her face to make sure it was taken care of properly.
"Well you rest, I will have Robin or Raven help attend to your crops so you don't have to worry. And if we run out of food or need anything only you can do, I will have Goose go to the Kingdom to make up for this being his fault." You can hear how serious Lion was in his speech. But it still made Rabbit chuckle a little bit.
Lion leaves the room and Rabbit looks down at Fox whose eyes are now open. Rabbit jumps a little and places her hand over her heart.
"Oh my god Fox, don't scare me like that." She says as she playfully pushes his forehead. She winces a little from the sudden movement. Fox jumped up real quick to make sure she was ok. Rabbit placed her hand upon his shoulder to reassure him that she is fine.
Rabbit smiles at Fox as she holds out her hand to him requesting he take it.
"Lion said you need to rest." Fox spoke with real concern in his voice.
"If I am going to be forced to be on bed rest, then I would prefer to be in my own bed where I am fully comfortable." Rabbit laughed as she again extended her hand out to Fox.
Fox chuckled and slightly shook his head. Instead of taking her hand he placed one arm under her legs and the other behind her back. The muscles in his arms flexed as Fox picked up Rabbit in a cradle position. A light gasp escapes Rabbit's mouth as she wraps her arms around his neck. Her face started to turn a light red.
Fox carried Rabbit outside of the room and up the stairs that were right around the corner of the infirmary. He opens up a set of red double doors into a large room. The room was many shades of red with a few accents of black and pink. In the center of the room was a large round bed. Fox takes Rabbit to the bed and lightly places her onto it.
"Thank you so much, hunny." She grabs his arm and pulls him towards her and plants a light kiss upon his cheek. When he stands up his eyes are wide with a slight shock and his face starts turning a light shade of red. Rabbit slowly gets settled in her bed and looks up to Fox who looked like he was ready to leave.
"Fox, you don't have to stay in here if you don't want to." Rabbit had a look of pure concern on her face as she placed a hand upon his.
"It's ok, I don't mind hanging out with you if you are ok with that." he had a slight nervousness to his voice. Rabbit giggled a bit and her hand gripped his.
"I do not mind if you want to hang out with me. As long as it doesn't interfere with your work." She laughs again. She lightly pats the spot on her bed next to her.
"Ok, let me go grab stuff so we aren't bored." Fox says with a big smile on his face. He runs out of the room a little quickly.
Fox comes back into the room with a bunch of stuff in his arms. Rabbit looks up at Fox and then the stuff and just laughs. He looked like a kid who just got asked to come to a sleepover.
"Alright, So I have some snacks for when we are hungry." He trails off listing everything he grabbed, sounding a bit more excited with every item. Rabbit pats the spot on her bed right next to her and just laughs at the excitement coming from Fox.
The two of them spent the night together for a week straight until Rabbit got better. They laughed together, talked and got to know each other a bit more. Rabbit learned his real name is Kaz and he learned her real name is Yuu. After that week of them spending together, Rabbit felt something deep inside that sort of surprised her. She started to like Fox.
