The Fox and the Rabbit!

Chapter 5

One Year after Rabbit Joined!

Rabbit sat on a nice large cushioned chair on the newly built chill spot, built by Goose and Fox on top of Rabbits infirmary/home. Goose wanted to build it for her mostly to be nice and as an apology for all the issues he has caused since she joined. She was reading a book and wearing a pair of small red glasses on the end of her nose.
Lion walks up the stairs on the back of the building to the floor of the chill area. His eyes land on Rabbit as she looks up over the top of her book. She lightly raises her hand to wave and smiles.
"Hey, I thought you were out with the guys to go talk to the snow Kingdom." Rabbit's voice was low but curious as she watches him move to the chair close to hers.
"I was going to go, but I am letting robin take the lead, so I don't have to always be the masked face of the group." Lion smiled as he sat a little hunched over with his elbows on his knees and his hands hanging between his legs.
Rabbit smiles and places her bookmark in the book and places it on the table next to her, sitting up and giving Lion his full attention.
"Well Maybe I should have gone with them, so they know we arn't just all guys!" Rabbit chuckles as she starts to grab her loose hair and braid it over her shoulder. Lion looks over at her and smiles as he jokingly rolls his eyes. 
"Well I just wanted to come up here to let you know that once the guys get back we will head over to the Jungle Kingdom. I hear their Queen is a werewolf and I want to talk to her about her intentions and if she associates with the feral ones out in the forests." Lions voice got real low, as if he had any intentions to kill her if her answers were not to his liking. Rabbit nodded and Lion got up and walked back down the stairs.

Rabbit went back to her book, her feet were tucked up and close to her hips. She was so immersed in her book that she did not notice the large shadow that now came up from behind her.
"Oh! So thats what kind of books you are into!" The low voice whispered and blowing hot breath into the shell of her ear. A chill ran up Rabbits spine as she jumped surprised and whips her head around to see the sly smile upon Fox's face.
Fox reaches over her head and grabs the book and slowly lifts it out of her hands while keeping his eyes on hers. A deep red blush forms over Rabbits face as she realizes how close he was to her face. Fox then looks at the book and starts to read a spicy scene from the book. Rabbit squeals and jumps up as she tries to grab the book out of his hands.
Fox held his hand up as high as possible, book still in hand as he looked down at Rabbit while she stretched as much as she could to try to reach the book. Rabbit hopped up on her tip toes but did not realize that her chest was pushed up against his chest.
His face was turning red as he felt her entire body rub up against his. He lowered his hand and returned the book to her as he backed up and sat down on the chair behind him grabbing a pillow and placing it in his lap.
"What was the reason for that?" Rabbit asked as she held the book close to her chest. Her lip pushed out in a pouting look.
Fox looked away from her as he made sure to hold that pillow firm on top of his lap. Rabbits eyes looked down and noticed that he was holding onto that pillow tightly. She got a sly smile upon her face and she placed her book on the table and them walked over to Fox and leaned forward placing her hands upon the arms of the chair he was sitting in.
"Uh oh, did poor Fox get a... Boner?" Rabbit giggles as she slowly starts to trail her long red nails up the side of his arm up to his shoulder.
"Dont tease me!" Fox looks up and glares at her and Rabbit raises and eyebrow as her smirk slowly turns into a full smile.
"Oh but it is so fun to tease you!" Rabbit laughs, causing her chest to bounce as she gently moves her hand from his shoulder to his cheek.
Fox quickly grabs her hand and in one swift movement he lifts off the chair and quickly shifts to where she was on her back on the pillows on the floor with her arms pinned above her head. He lowered himself to where he was kneeling over her body.
Rabbit looked up into his eyes, her face red as she was pinned under him. Her heart started to beat faster to the point where it felt like it was about to burst out of her chest.
"So is this what I get for teasing you? Maybe I should tease you more often sweetie!" Rabbit slightly moves her body to push up against his as she licks her lips and clicks her tongue against the back of her front teeth.
"You are enjoying this arnt you?" Fox raises an eyebrow and smirks. He grabs both of her wrists with one hand as he lowers the other to cup her cheek.
He shifts his position and one of his knees slightly moves between her legs and pushes against her center slightly. A slight moan escapes her lips as the slight pressure. Fox quickly gets up and shifts to the other side of the area and hides his face which was red as his horns.
"Oh my gods, that was so cute!" Rabbit laughs as she sits up and just watches him.
"Shut up!" Fox runs off down the stairs fully embarrassed.

Later that day, Lion gathers everyone in the middle of the courtyard to discuss the plans. Rabbit was getting everyone's saddle bag set up while Lion spoke.
"Alright, and remember when we are in Vargrstead, Let Robin and I do the talking. We do not want them to think wrongly of us. Alright, Goose!" Lion emphasized that last part while giving Goose a glare.
Goose puts his hands up with his palms facing out as he backs up a little. Fox chuckles as he digs his knuckles into Gosse's head. Rabbit giggles and hands a bottle over to Raven.
"Ready to move out?" Lion calls out as he walks to his horse. He hops up and pulls up his hood and mask.
Everyone hops up on their horses and they all ride off.

The six of them approach the large castle walls of the Jungle kingdom called Vargrstead. The castle walls were on the other side of a large bridge. Lion pulled the lever that rung the bell to announce their arrival.
On the other side of the portcullis stood a very large orc man in green and black leathers and a woman with long black hair wearing similar colors. She smiles and opens the gate and welcomes everyone in.
Rabbit looks around and is just at awe at the amazing look of this kingdom. Fox noticed her looking around and saw the sparkle in her eyes when her hood was not fully covering her face. A slight smile formed across Fox's face under his mask.
The two who came to the gate lead everyone to a small yard where they had troughs for the horses to be placed. Rabbit made sure that all six horses were good before joining the others in the tour of the Kingdom.
After the tour of the entire Kingdom, the two who met everyone at the gate, who they found out was the King and Queen of Vargrstead, led them to the throne room in the center of the Kingdom.
The woman, named Mircea, sat on the largest throne up on the dais. The Orc, named Ardino, stood behind the throne and he just smiled.
"So, if I recall from your letter, dear group leader, you would like to discuss the werewolf issue and situation going on within my Kingdom and all of Aramoore." Mircea's voice was low but very stern. She folded her hands in her lap and crossed one leg over the other.
Lion stepped up to the bottom of the dais and bowed. Mircea held up a hand to say that there was no need for the formalities. As lion stands up he removes his hood and mask and gives Raven the ok to remove his too.
"Queen Mircea, I have been told by some people who know you personally." As Lion says that Fox slightly turns his head to look away from her. Rabbit notices and understands that meant he was the one who told Lion. Rabbit reaches her hand over and places it upon Fox's to reassure him that things will work out.
"I have been told that you and some members of your Kingdom are afflicted by the lycanthropy sickness." Lion keeps his eyes on Mircea's and his spine stiffens as the smile on her face grows.
"Oh! We have a few members of Vargrstead who do follow the values of Vargr more than just prayers. But I do keep a tight leash on those who are afflicted and we have a trial system. If any of them happen to get close to going feral, our Mages are already at work making a cure for them." Mircea lifted her arm resting her elbow on the arm of the throne and her chin in her hand.
Lion nodded and smiled, he wrapped his arms behind his back. Raven shuffled in his spot and then looked back at the other four members.
"So then I would assume we are on the same page when it comes to the ferals outside of your Kingdom!" Lion looked between Mircea and Ardino and then he settled on the slight nod that Mircea gave him.

The conversation got a little more political so Lion asked Rabbit, Fox, Goose and Robin to leave the throne room. Mircea requested that one of her Kingdom members, a cat folk named Nastalia, to take them to the little cafe below and get them some food.
But the conversation between Lion, Raven and the King and Queen of Vargrstead did not go for that long. The group then traveled back to camp.
