"Well, aren't you going to do something about it?" Beer asked when he saw Bambam's bored expression. "What if we get shot?"

"If he wanted to kill us, he would've done it a long time ago. If he can see our foreheads through the scope, he can see our faces. That man is probably one of our boss' people." Bambam was growing irritated by the scope.

"I guess you're right, but wouldn't boss kill you for doing this?"

"He's already killing me on the inside." Bambam remarked, recalling the day he walked back into the base after pretending to be a real estate agent for them. Everyone made a joke out of him and some even walked around with the stupid name tag attached to the suit jacket.

"But what purpose do you have to watch over the Young Miss and Lady-Boss like this?" Beer wanted to go home already. The sun was setting and he was getting hungry.

"I just want to make sure she's safe." Bambam curtly responded.

"She? The Young Miss or Lady Boss?"

"Whatever floats your boat." Bambam dodged the question. He was mainly here to ensure she doesn't do something dumb. For example, running into the Vice President of RJ. He ground his teeth when a friend of his snapped the photo of them leaving the restaurant together.

Bambam did not know the person setting them up was Jennie herself. No one knew how he would react if that was the case.

Bambam decided to use a different scope and try it out. He placed it into the holder and then looked through it.

Beer disappointingly shook his head. "Hey, I see Boss' car rolling up to the front entrance. We should go now. You know how good he is at spotting people—ah sh*t." Their Boss had exited the car. His face was very far away, but both of them could tell he was directly looking at them.

Bambam's heart skipped a beat and he let out a girly shriek. He just made direct eye contact with his boss through the lens of the scope. "My goodness, that gave me a fright." He placed the gun down and in less than a minute, a message was sent.

[Demon King - Plz Spare Me: Get down from there. Now.]

Bambam's hand was shaking when he typed his reply.

[Idiot With Good Eyes: I was dutifully watching the lady-boss to make sure all was well ;) Don't worry, she's as safe as she can get

"Dude, you're trying to get yourself killed." Beer sighed when he saw the provocative message towards the end.

[Demon King - Plz Spare Me: See me tomorrow morning.]

"Hah, sucks to be you." Beer gave his brother a hard pat on the back, an arrogant and smug smile on his face. It was basically saying, "I told you so," without words.

Bambam grumbled something under his breath and packed up his things. "I hope you know, you're an accomplice in this; you're also coming with me." He picked up the bags and left the scene with a fumbling Beer trailing after him.

Jennie had an understanding expression on her face while she comforted Somi. "Everyone is at fault here. The mystery number, the picture incident, him demanding for you to not leave, and you justifying your pain with hurtful words."

Somi knew she was at fault. She had blamed and beat herself up for its multiple times, but at a certain point, she stopped doing so.

"I recommend having Jackson track down who sent you the message in the first place. Maybe it wasn't what it seemed."

"Huh?" Somi blinked. The thought never crossed her mind. She felt so betrayed that day, she never fathomed the other options. "He can track it down for you. I'm sure of it."

"Jackson oppa knew I dated Bambam, but he did not know the reason why we broke up. If he found out about the pictures, then Bambam will be in danger." Somi cursed her traitorous heart. Even to this day, the image of him being brutalized was heartbreaking. She could not get over him or the stabbing pain in her chest. She wished she never met him, but that would be a lie.

Jennie rubbed her chin while she thought about the other options. She was right. Jackson would go ballistic if he discovered the truth. Violence was something she was trying to avoid. A man popped into her mind, sitting in front of his desk, slurping down nuclear ramen noodles.

Jennie snapped her fingers with an "I got it!" expression. "Hm, how about you contact Kim Taehyung then? You have his number anyway. I can come with you and all three of us can have a meal while we catch up." She clapped her hands together and smiled brightly.

Somi's glum face brightened. It was like the grey clouds parting for a bright, sunny day. Her eyes glistened, "Oh my! Jenjen, you're a genius!"

"Heh, I know. You don't have to tell me." Jennie shamelessly said, a small grin resting on her lips. She giggled when Somi jumped her and enveloped her into a bone-crushing hug. Oof. She did not think Somi would get this strong.

"I see the training has thoroughly paid off. You're developing some muscles now." Jennie commented which resulted in Somi scooting back a bit. She rolled up the sleeves of her top and flexed her tiny arms, where a fine, rigid line could be seen.

"Woah!" Jennie clapped her hands. She resembled a proud mother exaggerating her expression for the young daughter that drew something to be hung on the fridge.

"I got this baby a couple of weeks into my sparring lessons! Taekwondo is really fun, so is Tai Chi!" Somi excitedly babbled on about her many lessons and the hot, muscular guys she got to see every day. Given, they were cladded in robes sometimes, but usually, after the training, they would get changed and the majority of them came out in body-hugging shirts. Every day, she got to witness drool-worthy eye-candy.

Lisa was speechless when he strutted into the hospital room. Popcorn bits and kernels were everywhere. What were they watching? Horror movies? It would explain the upturned bowl on the ground and the one on the bed. Nonetheless, he kept his mouth shut about it and let it be. He'll order one of his men to get the custodian. Besides, she will not be staying here another night.

"That's amazing!" Jennie clapped her hands again, giggling with a gigantic smile on her face. Her eyes were crinkled, dimples showing.

It was needless to say, the wind was knocked out of Lisa. He was mystified by her cheery expression, his heart drumming in anticipation. He wanted to see that smile again. He wanted her to show it only around him. No one else.

"I have bigger muscles." He made his presence known. He finished his work early in the office, but his attention was required in the Underworld and he headed there before coming here. He didn't realize he still had his gloves on.

Lisa took off his suit jacket, ready to show off so that she could smile like that at him.

"I know you do. No need to brag." Jennie shook her head with a silly smile on her face. She was going to pat the space next to her as a gesture for him to sit down. One glance at the popcorn-filled bed and she changed her mind the next moment.

He sulked, a scowl on his face. Why didn't she want to see his? Why didn't she want to clap for him? He didn't know she would kill to see his body.

His gaze followed hers. "Get dressed, my love. I'm taking you home." His heart stopped.

Jennie's entire face lit up, shining brighter than the lone star on an ominous, empty night sky. Gorgeous. Alluring. Goddess. Enthralling. So many words could be used to describe her and none would equate to the level of her beauty. Her chestnut eyes transformed into a flowing river of shimmering honey.

"Really?" She asked, unknowingly clasping her hands together at the terrific news.

Lisa collected himself. In a hoarse and breathless voice, he said, "Really." He walked over to her and picked her up without warning, causing her to gasp and wrap her arms around his neck. He could not see her on a dirty bed like this. She deserved better. "You don't have to get dressed." He hugged her tighter to him, ready to whisk her out of here and into their house.

She squealed, cupping his face and peppering kisses everywhere but his lips. He was dazed and stupefied with a goofy smile on his face. Was this heaven? He could die happy right now.
