12: let's fix shit, no?

We arrive at the gates of the Academy and since laid Ava down on the seats we sat at previously. So now I'm sitting on the stairs at the door of the bus. Blake kicks my behind and I ignore it cause she's been doing it the whole ride long. "Kai we need to get out" She whisper yells and embarrassment floods me when I stand up and see everyone in the bus already standing, and looking annoyed. I fuddle with the door handle for a second and get out as fast as I can, followed by a laughing Blake and serious looking Jugs and Kitty.

Kitty checks all the kids as they get out to ensure everyone is here, while the 3 of us stand on the side of the bus. Luca comes rushing towards us, on the Headmasters tail. He looks straight at me and when he tries to grab me I feel so awkward with us being watched right now I just stop him and point to Ava. Shit even more awkward for him now, shit-shit-shit. But he nods i dont know if its a understanding or defeated nod.

He finally follows my finger to Jugs carrying Ava's dainty body, and his expression grows rigged. "Shit, what happened? Is she okay?" He askes taking her out of his hands.

"No time. MOONSTONE, asap" The Headmaster commands and Luca nods.

he then looks to me, "Kai, your help, please". I almost jump at the plead, dam. We hastily walk through the gates and over the courtyard, and he picks up more speed when we go through the hallway next to the Headmasters office, a side I've never been to. When we reach the end behind the arch, is huge automatic sliding doors, and when we walk through it, it's like we've teleported to a whole hospital or mini version of it atleast.

"WE GOT AVA!!" Luca yells the moment we enter the doors. Everyone, being like 7 nurses and 2 doctors by the looks of it, knows exactly what to do in a 'Ava situation'. It's so weird, usually don't they all start yelling at each other in panic when a big emergency happens. Here everyone is silent and just gets to work. Luca goes to the right wing and I follow until he reaches 2 pushable brown doors that have a huge sticker on top of the doors 'S.P.U'. I open the doors for him to pass through and he lays her down on the bed to the left. The right side of the room having a curtain around it. "The Nurse will be here soon, while you're here, you should say hi to your friend over there" he points to the curtain.

Stepping closer it feels colder and creepier. My skin even prickles as I pull back the curtain, awaiting a monster but it's just a huge tank of water, with some kale and a shiny green liquids dripping into the water in the tank. "What the hell you made me feel like there's a monster behind the curtain" I say turning around to see his standing behind me now. He holds up his index finger to indicate I should give him a second. He gets a small flashlight from the tall side tables by the door, he comes to me and bends down.

"Well close enough" is all he says and I bend down too, out of curiosity, and when he shines the light into the tank I yelp. Shit. It's Quinni, but with scales, with a tail, with gills. Oh Wow, they really are a syren. They don't look good, sickish even. lifeless . It's my fault though, I did this to them, and barely felt remorse for it, what if they die? What will the Headmaster do? He still has to prioritize a student that killed another, one of the 4 powerful destined bearers killed the other instead of helping the Celestial to safe the world. Just because he thought his boyfriend betrayed him.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and see Luca is standing up already, "They're going to start the care process for Ava and Quinni, so we'll be able to visit maybe later or tomorrow. Let's go to the waiting area, yeah?" I look around him to see that there's nurses already aiding Ava, two nurses prepping some crystal above Ava and another drawing some symbols around her on the bed and floor. The Fuck? A sayaunce ? Oh I definitely need to get out, now.
