11. Broken hearts

Sorry for the mistakes

Anubhav was sitting in his cabin checking some files but his frustration was increasing with each passing second as he wasn't able to concentrate on his work. He mind was entirely occupied with Haseena.

He frustratedly crumbled a paper and threw it hard on the floor. Ved entered the room at the same time and his eyebrows scrunched.

"Kya hua Anu ? Itne gusse mein kyun hai?" He asked him sitting on a chair infront of him.

" Kuch nahi" he replied in irritation.

"Kya kuch nahi, bol na bhai kya hua hai?!" Ved questioned him.

"Bola na kuch nahi...bar bar mat pucho!" Anubhav frustratedly said.

"Hmm let me guess...is it about Haseena?" Ved asked raising his eyebrows. Anubhav glared at him but to his surprise he found ved smiling.

"I knew it...chal bata kya baat hai" ved said comfortably adjusting him on the chair.

"Faltu ki baate band karo aur batao kyun aaya ho yahan ?!"Anubhav said.

" Thik hai mat bata...aaj CM sahab aur DGP sir aa rahe hain!" Anubhav remained unaffected with the information.

" Kya bhai tujhe farq nahi padta?" Adi asked.

" Kya farq padna department ko toh humesha hum par Shaq rehta hai hai....kabhi hum unhe asamarth lagte hain toh kabhi deshdrohi!" His eyes got filled with pain as he spoke the last line. Ved looked at him bring concerned.

"Ah wo chod yeh bata aage kya karna hai?" Ved asked.

"Haan acchi baat yaad dilayi...hume aage badhne se pehle saare mission members ko ek aur baar check kar Lena chahiye." Anubhav said.

"Kyun?"

"Salim ko pata kaise chala ki Haseena Mallik aur hum natak kar rahe the...aur ek cheez hume jab lag raha tha ki humare natak ke baare mein Salim ko kuch nahi pata tab Salim hume check kar rha tha. All this while he knew that we were acting still he didn't do anything...kyun?" Anubhav said seriously.

" Hmm baat toh sahi hai...mujhe lagta hai yeh kaam suhani ka ho sakta hai" ved said.

" Kyun?"

" Uss din shaurya bol rha aur jab hum ms mallik ko dhundh rahe the tab wo kuch ajeeb behave kar rahi thi like wo chahti hu nahi thi ki Haseena Mallik mile!" Ved informed making Anubhav go into deep thinking.

" Aur ek baat...hume nahi lagta Haseena Mallik pe checking karna zaroori hai" ved advised looking at Anubhav who scrunched his eyebrows.

" Kyun?' his voice serious.

"Wo Aisa nahi kar sakti aur wo khud hi khud ko kyun fasaygi" ved said logically. Anubhav nodded.

"Whatever... investigation ka kaam hum tumhe dete hain ved...teen din ke andar I need progressed results!" Anubhav ordered.

" Kya?" He asked seeing ved looking at him with a frown.

" Tujhe nahi lagta tu kuch jyada hi strict ho gaya hai?" Ved said raising his eyebrows

"Tumhe nahi tum kuch jyada bolne lage ho?" Anubhav replied while glaring at him. Ved gave an ear toe ar smile to him and left. As soon as he left Anubhav leaned on his chair. His heart pained today. He always remained loyal to his job, his country. Not even once thought about his life before entering a mission but still the department didn't trust her.

Th fact is that it was even okay until his dear ones didn't trust him. He tried his best to save her life but she couldn't trust him.

Anubhav let out a deep breath letting go all of his thoughts and started working bringing on his cold demeanor again.
