"A human is going to fall today; I can feel it!" Papyrus said to his brothers excitedly. Him and Roman were ready for the day, while Sans and Serif were having a bit of a slow start. They had royal judge training yesterday as well as experiments with their dad, so they were a bit tired. However, they just couldn't say no when Papyrus and Roman asked them to be sentries. Besides, they had to hide the fact that they were judges.

"You say that every day, Pap," Serif said as the four of them walked out the door.

"Well, it's true this time!" Roman said, backing up Papyrus.

The two younger brothers dropped the other two off at their sentry station before heading off to recalibrate their puzzles.

Serif seemed off as they sat down together, so Sans decided to bring it up, considering that he felt off too.

"Hey Ser, do you have that bad feeling, too?" Sans asked.

"Yeah, I can't explain it. Maybe Pap and Ro are right this time. Maybe a human is going to fall."

"Want me to go watch the door to the ruins? I'll shortcut back if one comes out," Sans offered. Serif nodded.

"Yeah, I'll cover for you if Pap or Ro comes back."

With that, Sans stood and shortcutted to the ruin's door. He hid behind some trees and stood there for what felt like ages until, eventually, the door opened. Sure enough, out walked a human with a toy knife in their hand and their clothes covered in dust.

Sans felt his soul skip a beat and a shiver go up his spine. This wasn't good.

He shortcutted back to Serif and told him what he saw. They would have to keep a close eye on this one while doing their best to hide any scary information from Papyrus and Roman. Sans shortcutted to behind the human to keep an eye on them while Serif stayed up ahead. The two closed in on the human when they made it to the gate.

"Human," Serif started, the human whipped around quickly to where Sans was. Shaking his outstretched hand. A fart noise rang out, causing Serif to chuckle a bit.

"The old whoopy cushion in the hand trick," Serif chuckled, standing next to Sans.

"It's always funny," Sans added. No response from the human. "That's, uh, your cue to laugh. Or to emote at all?" Nothing.

"Gee, Lady, you really know how to pick 'em, huh?" Serif mumbled.

As Sans conversed with the human, Serif observed. There was definitely something off about this human. He did a quick check of their STATS and found that they did gain both LV and EXP. This human killed someone.

Thankfully, the human managed to play along with Papyrus and Roman's antics every time they met, but it wasn't looking good.

"Sans, this human is in genocide," Serif said as they watched from afar. "I really feel like we should tell Pap and Ro."

"I want to, but we can't. Asgore said so. We already managed to convince him to let us tell them we're judges; we can't really ask for much else."

"We can warn them, at least. We have to warn everyone so they can escape."

Sans sighed, "You're right. You find Pap and Ro; I'll warn the rest of the town."

Sans made his way through the town, warning everyone and leading them in groups to River's boat, where he took them to Hotland. His final stop was Grillby's bar. He barged through the door and told everyone to evacuate. Grillby was the last one out the door.

The fire monster knelt down next to be eye level with Sans, giving him a hug.

"Be careful, for fucks sake." Sans nodded and the two shared a quick yet passionate kiss before they parted.

"Take care of Pap and Ro when Serif and I send them your way. Dad should be there too to help everyone if you need anything," Sans said before watching Grillby leave for River's boat. He then took a shortcut to where Papyrus and Roman should have been, only to see Serif kneeling on the ground with two scarfs in hand and two piles of dust in front of him.

Sans ran over, his voice quivering and his entire body shaking. "Ser, where's Pap and Ro?" No response other than the sound of Serif trying to choke back sobs.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't f-find them in time..." Serif said, handing Sans Papyrus's scarf.

Sans felt tears escape his eye sockets as he pulled Serif to his feet and into a hug. The two stood there and sobbed into each other's shoulders for a little while. Once they collected themselves enough, Sans wrapped Papyrus's red scarf around his neck before helping Serif wrap Roman's light orange scarf around his neck.

"Look at me, Ser," Sans said, gaining his brother's attention. "Let's fucking end this human."

Serif nodded, a determined look on his face as the two shortcutted to waterfall.

The time had come, Serif and Sans across from the human in the judgement hall. Now they would be judged for every EXP they earned and for every life they destroyed. Their ultimate fight has arrived.

"It's a beautiful day outside," Sans started.

"Birds are singing..."

"Flowers are blooming..."

"On days like these..."

"Kids like you..."

Together, they felt their magic surge and their souls beating as one. "Should be burning in hell..."

Sans and Serif's eyes snapped open when they felt the knife slash through them. The battle was over. They had lost.

Serif leaning against Sans in pain, "Well, guess that's it, huh? Just don't say we didn't warn ya."

Sans wrapped an arm around Serif, "let's go to Grillby's."

"Paps, Ro, do ya want anything?"
