A few months went past, and the human still hasn't exited the ruins or reset the timeline. Sans and Serif were convinced that they were up to no good and were pleased when they were allowed to go back to their station. This time, Serif kept watch of the door. He sat there for what seemed like ages until finally, the door opened.

He glared at the human, wanting to kill them right then and there, but due to the job description, he wasn't allowed to. Still, something was off this time. They had a sweet smile on their face, tears in their eyes, a stick in their hands, and no dust in sight.

What the fuck? Serif thought as he shortcutted back to Sans to explain everything.

They stood near the gate and watched as the human shook with fear as they approached, giving a soft smile and a soft wave of their hand before tossing their stick to the side.

"What are you planning, human?" Sans asked, his voice harsh. The human flinched a little, their voice shaky as they spoke.

"I... I'm so sorry, Sans and Serif. I never wanted to hurt anyone; I swear!" the human then went on to explain how they were possessed by this entity called player that was using the form of Chara. Sans and Serif didn't entirely believe them, but the human seemed so different now that they were willing to give them a shot under close observation.

They played along the best they could with Papyrus and Roman's antics and watched as the human did too. They spared every monster they came across, and ultimately spared Papyrus and Roman too.

Sans and Serif met up with the human after their little hangout with Papyrus and Roman.

"Hey, kid," that gained the human's attention. They waved to the two skeletons, causing Sans and Serif to give a small wave back. "Wanna go to Grillby's?" Sans asked, causing Serif to laugh.

"You just want an excuse to see your boyfriend," Serif said. Sans's face turned a dark shade of blue and the human giggled too.

"Yeah, shut up. Are you two coming or not? I know a shortcut."

Sans and Serif said hello to everyone as they walked in, sitting at the bar with the human between them. Grillby walked up, saying hi to them and giving Sans a quick kiss before taking their orders.

They learned a little bit about the human as they talked and pulled a couple little pranks before getting ready to leave the bar.

"Sans!" Grillby called out, gaining the skeletons attention.

"What's up, hot stuff?" Sans flirted.

"There's karaoke tonight if you and your family would like to come over for dinner. I'm sure Papyrus and Roman would have fun, and Mettaton too if Papyrus wants to bring him," Grillby offered.

Sans smiled, "sound good. I'll talk to Dad and Papa about it and call you later." Grillby nodded and the two shared a quick kiss before Sans followed his brother and Frisk out of the bar.

(Ya'll know how the pacifist route goes, so let's just skip to the good stuff, shall we? :)

The four skeleton brothers held hands as they exited the ruins, looking on in amazement at the sunlight on the horizon.

"Wow..." Sans said.

"I never thought I would get to see the sun..." Serif added.

"Let's go explore!" Roman said, rushing off.

"I want to explore too!" Papyrus called out as he ran after Roman.

Sans and Serif chuckled before looking at Frisk. "Thanks for everything, kid. Though you are seriously gonna have a bad time if you take this away from us," Sans said.

"Pap, Ro, wait up!" Serif said as him and Sans shortcutted after their brothers, ready to begin the next chapter of their lives.
