Another day of back pain and code blues. When will it end?

Jayce has been blowing my phone up since I hung up on him. Constant text and calls. Didn't answer any of them. You're not gonna stress me out on this mobile device I pay for every month.

I quickly grabbed my food out of the fridge and skipped to the elevator. Once it opened I was met with a familiar face, Hasan !

"Hey Xavier, you ready for tonight?" He asked with a playful grin.

I yawned and stretch before answering, "Yea I just need to go home, and change. Let me know the time and address." I glanced over at Hasan, but he was already looking.

"I can pick you up if you want? 's not an issue..."

"Nah. I don't wanna bother you. Plus, I have to do a lot of stuff back home."

Hasan chuckled lowly and nodded, " Mmkay. Let me know if you change your mind." He smiled and stepped out of the elevator the minute it clunked open.

I had to force myself to not slide down the elevator wall and cry. This job is gonna be my last reason. A vibration started to go off in my pocket, so I quickly reached down to grab my phone. Jayce?

I thought about wether or not I wanted to answer him, but eventually clicked accept. "Hey."

"Hi what you doing? Lemme take you somewhere."

I sighed softly and continued talking, " I can't right now. Just got off of work, and I already told you what I'm doing later."

"Yeah, but you never told me where you're going."you could hear the attitude dripping out of his voice.

I slid my hand down my face, and stopped in front of my car door to think. Just think. "I'm going to a restaurant with some friends of mine. Is that what you wanted to hear, Jayce? Is that what you wanted to hear so damn bad?" I grunted out before hanging up on him and opening my car door.

"Fuck this." I quickly crunk up the car and waisted no time driving out of the parking garage.

——

I made a quick stop at Chick-fil-a to get a quick little snack and head home. Once I arrived home, I fed Stella and undressed as fast I could, put on sweats, and rolled a blunt.

Plugged my phone up real quick and quickly slid out onto my porch.

I need some silence real bad. Unfortunately the universe has a different path for me.

My doorbell rung continuously. "Hold up!" I shouted while putting out the barely lit blunt and exiting my porch.

I stalked towards the door, and cautiously looked into the peephole. Bru. Ikyfl...

Instead of opening the door I rested my body on top of it, and spoke to the dumb ass lightbrite on the other side. "Why are you at my house?" He knocked again. "Bro. Why are you here? What do you need?" Another knock.

I started to get extremely irritated and swung the door open. "WHAT NIGGA DAMN?!" He pushed pass me, took off his shoes, and sat down on the couch.

"I'll stay here and watch Stella until you get back home." He continued to type away at his phone, " Or I can drive you there and meet your friends."

I chuckled dryly, " Aye bru, I don't know if you're on drugs or some, but we not finna do this weird shi again. I want you to go Jayce. Please." I begged while walking towards him.
