Perdita woke up to the gentle rays of sunlight filtering through her bedroom curtains. As she slowly roused from her slumber, she noticed that her parents were not in the house, which left her feeling perplexed. Despite her confusion, she proceeded to the kitchen, where she grabbed a slice of leftover pizza from the fridge and decided to warm it up for breakfast. Once she had eaten, she laced up her shoes, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and ventured outside.
The familiar route to school lay ahead of her, and with each step, she felt more alert and awake. She looked back at the forest from yesterday, having flashbacks of what happened. She shook her head and continued walking, but she felt something watching her. When she reached school, she opened the doors and noticed tons of kids. She had that slight nervousness again; she hated large crowds.
She made her way to her locker to put her books away, but suddenly the fire alarm went off, and the speakers announced there was a wild fire starting inside the school. Everyone started screaming, but the teachers told them to wait outside. Perdita didn't care, she ran out of the school doors and into the forest, not knowing where to go. She found herself surrounded by trees and mushrooms.
She had zero clue where she was, she slowly got up and shouted, "Is anyone there?" Of course, no one responded, and Perdita started to panic, realizing she was lost. She started to cry, trying to find the exit, before she heard that same, calming, creepy tune. She gasped and tried to find where it was coming from; it sounded like Lilith.
"Lilith?" Perdita shouted out loud. In seconds, Perdita's vision went black. Someone kidnapped her and knocked her out.
