Laila's P.O.V.

I sat in front of my vanity mirror and looked at myself, what was wrong with me? I broke all the rules I had against guys, I walked arm in arm with him, we held hands and I kissed him on the cheek.

What were we doing?

I quickly got changed and settled at my desk to do some reading for school. When I finished the reading, I went back to the mirror and pulled my ponytail into a bun.

I put on some earrings and slipped my thin chain bracelet on then grabbed my bag and left for the kitchen. I whipped out the bowl of oats that I made yesterday evening and settled at the dining area to have breakfast.

Dear God, what am I doing?

I was listening to what I felt for the first time but I was defying my family to do so.

When I was done, I rinsed the bowl and placed it in the dishwasher before walking out of the house where Matthew was waiting outside for me. I got into the car and we were on our way to the Lexington.

On the way to school, Frazier called my phone and I just stared at it deciding whether to pick up or not.

I picked up.

"Hey, are you nearly in school yet?"

"Yeah, I'll be there in two minutes"

"Should I wait for you?"

"Why not?" I smiled and looked at Matthew in the mirror who raised his eyebrows at me but said nothing.

"I'll be waiting" Frazier chuckled and hung up.

"A boy?" Matthew asked.

"No" I replied and we pulled into school.

"Have a nice day"

"You too, Matthew" I got out of the car with my bag in hand and stepped onto the sidewalk waiting for the car to leave.

I turned to look around, I watched Frazier get out of his car and walk up to me. I already knew I was smiling like crazy at this point, Frazier had a much more subtle smile on his face.

"Hey you"

"Hey"

"Walk with me?"

"Why else did I say yes to you waiting for me?"

He chuckled and we strode away from the parking lot into school and made our way out again towards the sports section. We were now on the basketball court.

"You play tennis?"

"Yeah, I guess it does help take the edge off the day especially with me I get so stressed"

"What do you get stressed about?"

"School mostly"

"What is it about school that stresses you out?"

"I'm currently struggling with Maths"

"How bad?"

"Nearly failing bad"

"I'll tutor you"

"How good are you with Maths?"

"Good enough to tutor you"

"Okay" Frazier then stopped us at this point and brought me to stand in front of him.

"You're really beautiful, you know that?" He smiled and I just looked away from his face knowing that a smile was on mine once again.

I looked at my watch.

"We should go"

"We should" Frazier Adams smiled at me again with a lilt of his head, my heart stopped for a second making me realize that I was attracted to him in a way that was undeniable.
