Enzo stands next to his brother as they look at the pictures of the graffiti with John "So, the killer goes to the bank, leaves a threatening cipher for Van Coon; Van Coon panics, returns to his apartment, locks himself in. Hours later, he dies." Sherlock says. "The killer finds Lukis at the library; he writes the cipher on the shelf where he knows it'll be seen; Lukis goes home." John adds. "Late that night, he dies too." Enzo sighs, massaging his temples. "Why did they die, Sherlock, Enzo?" John asks. Sherlock runs his fingers over the line painted across Sir William's face "Only the cipher can tell us." Sherlock tells John. Enzo looks at the pictures "Come on, I have an idea." he says, grabbing some of the pictures before leading them out of the flat.
They head to Trafalgar Square, Enzo leading them towards the National Gallery "The world's run on codes and ciphers, John. From the million-pound security system at the bank, to the PIN machine you took exception to, cryptography inhabits our every waking moment." Sherlock says. "Yes, okay, but..." John starts. "...but it's all computer-generated: electronic codes, electronic ciphering methods. This is different. It's an ancient device. Modern code-breaking methods won't unravel it." Sherlock cuts him off. "Where are we headed?" John asks. "We need to ask some advice." Enzo tells him. "What?! Sorry?!" John asks. "You heard me perfectly. I'm not saying it again." Enzo tells him, Sherlock sending him a blank look. "You need advice?" John asks the brothers. "On painting, yes. We need to talk to an expert." Enzo nods, leading them round the side of the gallery to the back. Enzo smiles when he sees who he's looking for "Raz." he calls. "En." Raz smiles, the two of them bro-hugging before Enzo looks at the spray paint. Enzo chuckles when he sees a policeman holding a rifle with a pig's snout in place of a human nose "Part of a new exhibition." Raz says. "Interesting." Sherlock says, clearly not interested. "I call it Urban Bloodlust Frenzy." Raz chuckles. "Catchy!" John says sarcastically. "I've got two minutes before a Community Support Officer comes round that corner. Can we do this while I'm workin'?" Raz asks as he continues working.
Enzo pulls out the pictures from the flat, showing Raz. Raz tosses a can to John and takes the images, flicking through them "Know the author?" Sherlock asks. "Recognise the paint. It's like Michigan; hardcore propellant. I'd say zinc." Ray responds. "What about the symbols: d'you recognise them?" Enzo asks him. "Not even sure it's a proper language." Ray tells him. "Two men have been murdered, Raz. Deciphering this is the key to finding out who killed them." Sherlock tells him. "What, and this is all you've got to go on? It's hardly much, now, is it?" Ray asks. "Are you gonna help us or not?" Sherlock asks him. "I'll ask around." Ray responds. "Somebody must know something about it." Enzo nods. "Oi!" a voice exclaims. The four of them turn and see two Community Support Officers rushing towards them. The brothers and Ray immediately run, John staying behind as he doesn't realise they ran. Enzo comes to a stop next to Ray "Let me know if you find anything." he tells his friend. "Will do. Catch ya later, En." Ray nods, the two of them bro-hugging again before Ray leaves.
