*6 months ahead of the present day*
She ran. She ran as fast as she possibly could. She needed to get out of there. She needed to get away. She needed to tell them that it all was a trap. She had no idea where she was running, but she knew that stopping meant death.
She dodged a flaming arrow. It took her almost everything not to look back. But she knew that they were right behind her. And that she couldn't possibly outrun them. They were catching up. She spotted a nether portal and took a sharp turn to the right, jumping through. Hot, thick air hit her face but she kept running, kept dodging.
'I can't keep this up,' she thought.
She fell, as one of the arrows finally hit her, almost knocking her off the cliff, into the endless lava ocean. She scrambled to her feet, turning around in an instinct. The two players got closer. If it wasn't for the gear difference, she would have still considered fighting an option. Sadly it wasn't. She needed to get to her base as fast as possible. She took a step back, getting closer to the edge.
"What are you doing?" His voice was mocking, he didn't believe that she would actually do it.
'I hope my bed is still there,' she prayed.
Y/n let out a small smile, "Saving my team."
The girl took the final step. Her heart sank. The wind hits her ears.
...One...
'I hope this works.'
...two...
...three...
...four...
...five...
...six...
She saw their faces, standing there on the edge, shocked.
...seven...
...eight...
The heat gets closer.
...nine...
...
She closes her eyes.
...ten.
It was just a few seconds, then it was darkness.

A/n:
Heyyyyyyyy. I was thinking 'you know, you're probably not going to update this book in months so why not write a little prologue' (I wasn't actually thinking that, but close enough) I'm not done with the book, this is just my apology for making you guys wait for me to finish.
So ya, this is actually going to be in one of the last chapters before the main conflict.
I fr already have the whole book series planned out. (What did you think I was doing? Only writing 3 chapters during those 4+ months?) I only need to somehow speed up with the story line, because I'm still only introducing the main characters (2 left) and that's, if you look at my script, is only 1 step out of 5....
Sooooooooooo yep. That's all you will be getting.😅 Though I might just post chapters 1 and 2 but I feel like that would ruin the point of 'finish the whole book before publishing' thingy.
