Jade' Thompson's heart was pounding in her chest as she stared at the person pointing a revolver at her, trying to catch her breath and talk the person down. "You don't have to do this."

"Yes, I do", the voice whispered in an evil tone.

Jade swallowed hard. "You're going to always regret it. Look lets just talk. There's another way to resolve all of this."

She started thinking about how everything was going good up until this point. For the first time in her life, she was happy. She was about to start a new job as a secretary and have a great career. And the terrible things she had done was all swept under the rug. Sure, some people would always remember her past. But she was turning over a new leaf and she was going to be a whole other person. Now this wicked, murderous, low life was about to ruin her cloud of joy.

The cold breath from the person holding the revolver spoke: "It's the only way to put an end to all of this. There's no way to change it now anyways."

"I have been a horrible person, I know. But I'm trying to make things right. Give me another chance, please", Jade begged as she regretfully knew her choices in life led her up to this. She would do anything to turn back time, but that wasn't possible.

"A chance?" the person cold – hearted person laughed. "You know who I'm going to give a chance to? To the Bertelli brothers."

Tears formed in Jade's eyes as she seen no way out if this situation. "What do you mean the Bertelli brothers? What do they have to do with this?"

"They'll have the opportunity to solve their first murder," the person mischievously smiled. "I'll also give them the chance to quit being detectives before they can solve their first murder."

"That is where you're wrong. They'll never stop doing detective work", Jade scoffed.

"They will if it involves their sister's life", the person said sharply.

Jade's eyes widened. "You mean Tia? Do you know where she is?"

The person pulled the trigger. "I know so much more about Tia than you would ever believe. But even if they do investigate, nobody is ever going to get me for Tia's disappearance or your murder."

And within a flash, one shot, two shot, three shots were fired, and Jade's lifeless body collapsed on the hard wooden floor. The person kneeled down and looked her in the dead, opened, eyes and spoke:

"You wanted to make things right? Note to self: I just did it for you."
