He and his son were gifted this five bedroom home on a palm grove. Uniquely structured rectangular design allows for contested landscapes, a bomb shelter and is ideal for seclusion if the situation presents. The "Rectangles" as the people of Keoghan Knots describe it, is government protected and operated with full staff.

The staging includes, cooks, cleaners, security and drivers.

Kirk and Nyal have been in Keoghan Knots for two weeks settling in.
Nyal has severe social anxiety and isn't sure how to fit in here, just as he never fit in all the other places he and his father have lived over the years.

"First day in Apollo, how was it?"

"I don't know, fine I guess?"

Nyal, you need to open yourself up more. I seen some of the other kids dress up their uniform. I'd be fine if you did as well, I won't make a stink about it."

"The other kids? You mean the super rich brats I unfortunately got stuck sitting next too, just as you delivered the news of their former best friends death?"

"Ahh, I see. So you've met Caulfield , Spencer, Augusta and Marigold?"

"You know of them?"

The Academy speaks of them as though they're young prodigies, and I also noticed their attire. Hence why I mentioned them, they appear to be all the hype."

"Chet Reines, Abby Ashley, Freddy Landencamp. Remember them dad? You wanted me to be friends with them at each different drop point."

"This time it'll be different Nyal, we won't be moving again for your remaining education. We'll be here for the long haul kiddo!"

The evening continues on as Nyal and Kirk eat dinner at opposite ends of the dinner table. Kirk is busy reading some document and Nyal can't muster any more time having to sit in the same room as his father.
He asks to be excused.
Kirk looks up at him and apologizes for the distance between them and all of this all of the time.  He asks his son to give the real world a chance and maybe instead of making up stories and acting them out, he can make friends. Solid friends that can carry him into his young adulthood.

Nyal vacates to his quarters.

Kirk takes to his study. He opens the window, and puts on his glasses. Unlocking his desk, he removes a file titled "Me & the Mann Child"

The next morning security awakes Nyal to the news of his father's murder!
