Being exposed to Atlas wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it might be. Sure, she was keenly aware of the fact that she was mostly bare before him; her shorts were pretty short, and her bra covered what absolutely needed to be. Yeah, it showed in her face, still colored red as both of their laughs died down, leaving the two of them leaning against one another while they soaked in the comfortable atmosphere.

It felt like they had both come to new understandings about one another. As attractive as she still thought he was, she was beginning to see more and more that he, and other supernaturals, were just like everyone else. At that revelation, she could almost hear her aunt's laugh in her head. She would have been thrilled to hear her realizing that. Even when she was little, she had always been trying to figure out what it meant for her, for the world around her, that she wasn't human. Trying to figure out what made her different, what lines to draw because of it. Even when there were none.

Then again, things hadn't turned out very  well for her aunt, when all was said and done. Maybe she was safer with her walls, no matter how free Atlas seemed. He was different, and even he had said she was rare. A world where she was just like everyone else didn't make sense to her. If she were just like everyone else, she wouldn't be on the run, and she wouldn't be scarred the way she was. Things happened for a reason, and she needed to remember that.

Lingering on any of that wouldn't help her at all in the moment, though. So, she turned her gaze back up to Atlas, who was already looking down at her. He looked... Like he was at peace. Her heart skipped a beat as she registered his features, all of them relaxed as he waited on her to give the go-ahead with a smile.

Knowing what she did about him now, she knew he had caught the way he made her feel. Luckily for her, he was kind enough not to bring it up, and if he wasn't, maybe she was just quicker than he was, because she was the one to speak up first, "so... How do we do this? I mean, I don't. I don't want to, like, invade your space, or anything like that..."

"Will you stop thinking so much?"

"What do you mean?"

He sighed, "you're going to have to get at least a little comfortable with me to do this, Ev. You still don't have to do it at all, don't get me wrong. Back out at any time. But in order for me to bite you, you'll have to be in my space. It's not an invasion if you're invited."

That made enough sense. Nodding slowly, she bit her lip and carefully moved to situate herself on his lap, facing him. Her core pulsed beneath her, and she knew he could probably hear her heart as well as she could, but he just grinned proudly at her as she sat, their faces closer than they ever had been.

"That's more like it. You ready?"

Unable to trust her voice to be steady, she  gave another nod and closed her eyes as she felt his hands on her hips, pulling her closer to him. At the same time she it her lip, doing her very best to keep her breathing steady, his lips started slowly exploring the sensitive skin around her pulse point.

"You're teasing me," she accused breathlessly, her hands resting against his sturdy chest. How was he so firm?

"Would you rather I went for it, then?" He asked curiously, pulling back from his teasing to show a patient, slightly apologetic smile, "I thought it might be better, sort of cushion the blow in a way when I have to bite down..."

It was hard to think, so she shook her head, "it's, um. It's okay. I just, um... I-I guess I'm just starting to, uh. I just. I don't... I don't really play with my cheeseburgers before I eat them. It, um... I kinda understand why others have, um..."

Atlas nodded, chuckling, "sorry, Angel. Good to say we both got carried away?"

"Y-yeah, sounds g-good to me," she said breathlessly before she saw his face dip back down to her skin.
