Jaehyun stands in front of the mirror, adjusting his hair with a sigh. The absence of Tae is palpable, a void that makes his usually busy and lively evenings feel strangely empty. Tae has never stayed away from him like this before; his parents have always visited them in the States, but this is different. Jaehyun feels a pang of loneliness as he finishes getting ready for the dinner.

He puts on his coat, glances around the empty house once more, and heads out to the garage. Sliding into the car, he realizes this is the first time he is actually using it since moving here. Usually, everything is within walking distance, and his walks with Tae are a cherished routine.

Driving through the city, Jaehyun feels a mix of anticipation and nervousness. He reaches the restaurant, hands his keys to the valet, and spots everyone waiting for him outside. They are dressed casually, bundled up against the cool evening air. His eyes linger a little longer on Theo, who looks effortlessly handsome.

Jaehyun gulps, feeling a flutter of nerves, and greets them. "Hey, guys. Sorry if I'm a bit late."

Kyle, ever the lively one, waves it off. "You're not late, Jaehyun. We just got here."

Drake grins, clapping Jaehyun on the back. "Ready for a night of good food and even better company?"

Theo offers a soft smile, his eyes warm and inviting. "Let's head inside."

They make their way to the private booth Jaehyun has booked. The restaurant is cozy, with dim lighting and a comfortable atmosphere. They settle into the booth, the walls offering a sense of intimacy and privacy.

"So, how's it been without Jae?" Drake asks, leaning back in his seat.

Jaehyun sighs, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Quiet. Too quiet. I've gotten so used to having him around all the time."

Kyle chuckles. "Bet you miss the little guy, huh?"

Jaehyun nods. "Yeah, it's weird not having him around. But I'm glad he's having fun with his grandparents."

Theo's eyes are filled with understanding. "It's good to have some time for yourself too, though. You deserve a break."

Jaehyun feels a warmth spread through him at Theo's words. "Thanks, Theo. I appreciate that."

The waiter comes to take their orders, and they settle into easy conversation. As they take their orders, Drake turns to Theo with a playful grin. "So, Theo, what would you like to drink tonight?"

Theo chuckles, shaking his head. "Actually, I think I'll pass on the drinks. I get drunk way too easily, and trust me, drunk Theo is not a pretty sight."

Jaehyun, trying to hide any reaction, looks away. The memory of that clip of a drunk Theo flashes through his mind, bringing a mix of emotions he doesn't want to show.

Drake shrugs, still grinning. "Probably for the best. We need at least one responsible adult tonight. If the rest of us get wasted, someone needs to keep an eye on us."

The drinks arrive, and Kyle lifts his shot glass, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Alright, guys, tonight we're not seniors or juniors. We're just us. No judging, no rules. Cheers to a great night!"

Jaehyun chuckles, lifting his glass. "Cheers to that!"

They clink their glasses together, the sound of their laughter mingling with the clinking. Jaehyun takes the shot, feeling the warmth of the alcohol spread through him. He glances at Theo, who is smiling softly, his glass of water in hand.

Drake leans back, raising an eyebrow. "So, Theo, if you're not drinking, at least then tell us what's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you when you were drunk?"
