Chapter 12: Official

It's finally sunday and you're walking in the paddock, with your parents, towards the Mercedes area; when Lewis sees that scene, his eyes widen in surprise and he approaches you with a big smile on his face

"Hey there! Fancy meeting you here, i missed you a lot!"

"Hi Lewis, i missed your lovely but stupid face too. How are you?"

"I'm doing well, darling. Just enjoying the moments before the race. You?"

"Quite good i think..." and you touch your belly, without letting your father see you, making the driver smile.

"I need to find Toto, do you know where he is?"

"Of course i know where he is, he is my boss. But wait, come on! You want to run away from me without introducing me to your sister... Not very gentle bro..." he said pointing to your mother.

"Lewis she is Maria, my mother"

His face went from smiling to shocked, especially when he met your father's angry gaze.

"Well anyway, Toto is in his office thinking about you two as always. He hasn't done anything else all week... Even during the meetings he was lost in his thoughts! Bye bye" he says , before running away on his electric scooter.

"You two?" says your father, but you pretend you didn't hear him and head towards the office.

*Knock knock*

"Come in" he says.

No one entered in the room...

"What the hell?" Toto says, rising from his chair to reach and open the door.

When he sees you it seemed like he hadn't seen you for years: he hugged you, holding you very tightly to him, and continued kissing you on the head.

"Toto, we are not alone"

He loosened the hug, allowing you to detach yourself from him; you position yourself next to him, who was observing the people who had accompanied you.

"Oh, I didn't see you. Nice to meet you, I'm Toto Wolff"

"My daughter's boss? Maybe you are a bit too much physical with her, and the person that is saying that is an italian..." your father says.

He looked at you a little shocked but, before that you could say something, he turned towards your parents saying "yes, but i am also her boyfriend"

After saying that he looks at your father, seeig his surprised expression.

"Yes, I understand that it might be a bit unexpected" Toto says, after seeing joy in your mother's face but disgust in your dad's face.

Your father starts protesting and this makes the team principal speak firmly, trying to calm him down and address his concerns.

"Sir... I understand your concerns but I assure you that I love your daughter deeply and my intentions are sincere. I have no intention of taking advantage of her, i want to assure you that my love and commitment to her are genuine. I would never have agreed to start a family with her if I didn't have sincere intentions..."

You feel your father's eyes all on you when he was screaming "is she pregnant?"

"Sir, I understand that. This is shocking news and you're upset, but please calm down. How about we all go out to lunch, at least I can tell you everything and reassure you that I truly love your daughter?"

"Perfect idea" says your mother.

You're not lying when you say that was the most anxious lunch of your life!

But you're happy that it ended with your father accepting your affair with Toto; phrases like <financially, I am capable of providing for your daughter and our child. The financial aspect is something of no concern> always calm you father down...

"I am happy about your change of ideas among me because i am, and i forever will be, a partner that cares for, respects and makes her happy"

"You really like her" your mother says to Toto, stroking his forearm.

"I love her" he replied.

You get all red in the face and, doing the right thing for once, your father takes the opportunity to make a joke to lighten the situation.

"Maybe you can give the baby my name, it's an italian usual tradition by the way!"

That joke turned your embarrassment into nervousness, but helps to distract you from the fact that Toto has already tell that he loves you.

"Don't even think about it" you only respond.
