(Jin-hyun's POV)
It's eight in the morning. Jin-hyun is working at the office. Suddenly, Byung-in enters. Byung-in often comes here, so it's not a new thing. Jin-hyun doesn't look back at him but can tell he is eager to share something.
Byung-in says in a happy voice, "Bro, you know, I..."
Before he can finish the sentence, Jin-hyun says, "You liked a girl again, and in total, she is the 49th girl this year."
"And the happy news is that..." Byung-in tries to continue but is interrupted again.
Jin-hyun adds, "And the happy news is that she gave you her phone number and added you on social media. I wonder who will be the number fifty. It will be a complete half century then"
"You ruined my happiness. How did you know all this?" Byung-in asks, looking slightly irritated.
"Because it's the twentieth time this month you've came here and wasted my time with your silly stories," Jin-hyun replies, still working, not even looking back.
Both of them said together, retort, snapping fingers,'' What should I do?Girls can't ignore my charms!"
Byung-in looks more irritated now. He says with a hint of anger in his tone, "Are you mocking me?"
Jin-hyun finally looks back at him and says in a teasing tone, "It's impossible. You're a clown all on your own."
Byung-in doesn't mind the comment. Their friendship is very strong, and he knows about Jin-hyun's sharp tongue. Instead, he says, "You're just jealous of my handsome face."
Jin-hyun types something on his laptop and replies, "Really? You think that?"
"Fine... you're more handsome than me. But why don't you fall for girls? I can't even imagine my life with only one girl. Someone's eyes are beautiful, someone's hair, someone's face. In a word, no one is perfect. And here, my handsome best friend is still loyal to his late first love..." Byung-in seems to want to say more, but Jin-hyun gives him a dead stare, and he stops.
Jin-hyun says in a mysterious tone, "Love is not about looks; it's about personality. No one can replace the first person you love."
"Really, I never thought you'd be that romantic. But there's one thing I can't agree with you on. First love may be unforgettable, but I'm sure you will find someone better in the future."
"No one can replace Minsoon in my and Ji-yeon's lives," Jin-hyun protests.
"But I think someone already has."
"What do you mean?" Jin-hyun raises an eyebrow.
"I mean Dr. Han. Ji-yeon seems attached to her, and in the past four years, I've never seen him close to someone before. He knows me very well but still has never talked to me face to face."
"Then how did you know about that?" Jin-hyun asks.
"Your boy is very smart. I talked to him on social media yesterday. I'm impressed. He can read and write at only four years old."
"What did he say to you?" Jin-hyun asks.
Byung-in shows him a picture of Ji-yeon and So-yong. It's the picture they took before Ji-yeon was discharged from the hospital. Byung-in says in a teasing tone, "I'm sure fate wants you guys to be together."
Before Jin-hyun can say anything, he gets a call. A few minutes later he hangs up, looking furious.
"What happened?" Byung-in asks.
"Ji-yeon is not at home. His new babysitter thinks he's lost. I have to find him. It's important." Jin-hyun grabs his car keys and starts leaving.
Byung-in insists, ''I'm coming with you."
