MAX & ALEX were infront of Max's house, the two finally being able to hang out because of Billy & her step-father being away for the day. Max was trying to do a trick on her skateboard, while Alex just watched how she struggled with it.
"Okay, if this is an attempt to impress me, then it's definitely working," Alex raised an eyebrow, "But I think we should get inside."
Max didn't respond, just continued her previous actions, until the skateboard slipped out from beneath her feet, almost making her fall. Alex quickly to grabbed her arm to stop her from falling, making sure she wasn't hurt.
After making sure she was okay, he glanced up the road to see El holding the skateboard, a frown on her face.
Mike did something.
"Hi."
"Hi?"
"Can we talk?"
Yep, Mike did something.
......
"AND THEN HE SAID HE— HE MISSED ME-" El explained, sitting on Max's bed, the three now in her room. "And then he just hung up." She added.
"He's a piece of shit." Max stated.
"Mike doesn't have jack shit to do today, and his Nana obviously isn't sick. I guarantee you, him and Lucas are playing Atari right now." The redhead explained, leaving El with furrowed brows.
"Yep, our Nana definitely isn't sick." Alex winced, putting a comforting hand on El's shoulder.
"But friends don't lie." El shook her head, looking at the two with disbelief.
"Yeah, well, boyfriends lie."
"Hey!" Alex looked at Max with raised brows.
"Except Alex, I guess." Max grinned, obviously teasing the boy.
"You guess? Really?"
Max laughed, before plopping down next to El. "You're going to stop calling him. You're going to ignore his calls. As far as you're concerned, he doesn't exist."
"Doesn't exist?"
"He treated you like garbage!" Max raised her voice. "You're gonna treat him like garbage."
"You're gonna give him a taste of his own medicine." Alex bounced off of Max's words.
"Give him the medicine." El repeated.
Max hummed. "And if he doesn't fix this, if he doesn't explain himself-"
"Dump his ass." Alex cut in, making Max smirk and El look over at him in confusion.
"You swore." The brunette frowned.
"Yeah, Max isn't the best influence sometimes." Alex rubbed El's shoulder, a small smile on his face.
