A/N: so um idek if I'm leaving now but anyways here's an update :)

Avia's P.O.V

Newt still had a grip on my arm as we ran.

It was a bit difficult considering he had a limp.

I really want to know what happened.

We got back to the others and they turned to us.

"Any luck?" Gally asked. I shook my head, looking to the ground.

"What happened?" Alby asked.

"I think she's found Ben." Newt said.

I looked up at them exchanging worried glances.

"Leave him. Its dark and God knows what he'll do. We'll find him tomorrow." Alby said.

What a stupid idea.

"What?"

"Why not now?"

Everyone was shouting questions and I was ready to punch them all in the face.

"Slim it!" Newt yelled. "Just follow Alby's orders you shuck faces." He spat.

Everyone walked back to their hammocks with wide eyes.

I turned to Newt.

"Um goodnight.." I said, saluting him and walking back to my hammock.

The next morning I was woken up early by yelling.

"What? You can't do that! Where's your mind gone? You're insane!" He yelled.

"Its for the best!" Alby yelled.

I got up and jogged to Frypan's, where the yelling was coming from.

I stood in the group of boys that were watching the argument.

"What's going on?" I whispered to no one in particular.

"Alby doesn't want anyone running today." Someone whispered back.

What?!

That's how they find a way out. They have to run today.

"Its not safe! Minho isn't back. He's probably dead. Have you seen how many Grievers have been out lately?" Alby shouted.

Everyone fell silent and looked to the box I'd come up in as an alarm sounded.

"A Greenie already?" Newt asked.

I followed everyone as they ran over.

I made my way to the front to see better, considering I was only 5'7". I measured.

Newt and Alby opened the doors and looked down.

I leaned forward to see who was inside.

A boy.

Duh Avia.

Newt helped him out. The boy just stared at us like we were aliens. But, I couldn't blame him. We were a group of 40 boys and 1 girl, all looking homeless.

Just then, he ran. And he didn't stop til he reached the maze.
