You had put some much work into this book, so much and yet here you don't in the dumps of ideas, the prospects of using cliche moments didn't seem all that bad, then Again the creativity would die down faster by doing so.
You hadn't touched the book in weeks, feeling repulsed by it, other things catching your attention, other things occupying you from the thing you had spent months on.
You basically kept it locked away in a cage(your drawer) afraid it would bark at you like that one scene in spongebob.
"Why is it in a cage?"
"Cause it tried to bite me😞" or something along those lines.
Though the self aware characters could greatly protest to you neglecting them, like a dog needing affection from its oblivious owner.
Rather quickly they'd grow excited when you'd read, trying to enact more bits you could write down, your voice playing in their head each individually, no matter how much embarrassing things you've said they didn't mind, especially when they got their own little one on one- or well, you trying to write for a certain character, for example Daniel. Or as of right now with you trying your hand with Kara.
"She looked around the convenient store in search of shelter for Alice, not wanting the little girl to be cold, looking at the security cameras she didn't know wether she'd get away with it- man i could really go for some orange juice right now...- she looked at her options, eyes darting between the cash register, the gun she had taken a bit ago still nestled in her stolen clothes sh-" letting out a cough you covered your hand before reading on, wanting to refresh your memory on where you left off.
Your voice echoing on Kara's head, the android only furrowed her eyebrows, LED flashing to yellow the back to blue.
It was so hard to think up of a plot, sitting down In front of your desk, staring intently at the page as if it was a cheeseburger, but no.. no it's never a cheeseburger.
Maybe if you were to experience it first hand? Maybe if you were just able to have an out of body experience in your little made up land of androids? Wouldn't that be lovely to do?
Sighing you placed your own back down, closing your book once more for what felt like the millionth time, which it probably was but we won't talk about that, slowly you slid your drawer open, sliding the pages and pen back inside as you intertwined your fingers together, lifting the up as you stretched with a yawn, chair creaking as you leaned back.
Kara's eyes narrowed in confusion, the sudden warmth, the sudden voice she had been hearing now gone once more, she felt frozen in her place, as if time itself had stopped, her eyes darted around the place, she couldn't move, why couldn't she? Did it have something to do with that voice that kept appearing only to voice out her next moves then disappear again making time stop once more? Her eyes darted around again and again, LED flickering to red.
Androids didn't exactly believe in god, gods or goddesses they were designed to be completely emotionless things that were only to take orders such as servants, they were supposed to be thoughtless little things... So why did Kara feel that warmth that she never felt? Why did she wants to sing praises to this person? Why did she want to so suddenly knock on someone's door and ask if they'd wanna chat about their lord and saviour? Whoever that may be of course.
Kara slowly succumbed to her fate, waiting for hours til you came back and greeted her presence, eyes occasionally looking over at Alice who stood still like a statue.
