"Where are you taking me?" I giggle as he parks in an unfamiliar place. "You said that you don't want to be anywhere near that place and I'm making it happen... Come with me" I resist the urge to open the door.
He opens it for me and I take his hand, allowing him to lead me towards a dock? "What are we doing here?" I look up at him as his eyes skim around the the place. "You'll find out soon" He laces his fingers with mine, pulling me closer to his side as we continue walking.
"Were here" He motions to the boat, parked next to the entrance. "Lindo" I breathlessly mutter. He ushers me into the boat and I take in beautiful interior. "You can't be serious... Is it yours?" I say in awe. "It's ours" He corrects and I widely grin at him. I let go of his hand and walk further, passing to the bar.
I grab a flute if champagne and walk back to him. "You are so focused on the alcohol that you aren't paying attention to your surroundings" He links his hand with mine. "The flowers look nice, thank you" I take a sip of my drink. "Woza phela" He drags me to the couch and sits me down.
I watch as he slips off my heels and I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you" He settle down next to me. "You didn't have to do all this, we could've just booked the night at the hotel or something" I say as the ship sails off.
"I'll do anything for you" He states and I get onto his lap, pecking his lips. "Thank you- for everything that you've done for me... You've done nothing but make me feel loved" He pulls me back down for a deeper kiss. "I'm hungry" I bite his lower lip and he gets up with me clinging onto him.
He carries me into the kitchen, placing me on top of the counter. "What do you want to eat?" He stands inbetween my legs. "You" I joke and his eyes widen. "I'm joking.... I'm craving for salty pretzels" He places his hands on my thighs. "You said that you wanted food"
"I did not say that" I pout. "What do you want to eat?" He asks once again. "Uhm... Creamy pasta and crumbled chicken" He just stares at me. "And a salad" I add on. "I don't know how to cook" He shrugs. "I know..." I mutter.
"What exactly do you have in here?" I hop off the counter, searching the cupboards. "Junk food" Oh my- "Perfect" I say as he hands me a steers paper bag. He hoists me back onto the countertop and sits on the chair inbetween my thighs.
I eat, not paying any attention to him. "Stop staring at me like that" I mumble, shoving a pair of fries into my mouth. "Mhm?" He snaps out of his thoughts. "You're being very creepy, Dlamini... And wierd" I slightly push him away.
"You've been acting strange all day, what's wrong?" I wipe my hands. "Nothing... Are you full?" He wipes the corner of my lips using his thumb. "Mhm... Aren't you hungry?" He shakes his head no in response. I pull out my phone with him still staring at me.
I heavily sigh when I open my Instagram. It's that damn wedding again. I log out and open my WhatsApp. The only poeple that have texted me are Phiwe, Sbani, Mme and Ntate- only. I quickly respond to their texts before switching my phone off.
This wedding is starting to piss me off and I know that it'll be even worse tommorow. "Can't they just silently get married and not rub it in my face?" I frustratedly ask. "It's a wedding, MaMashaba" He reminds me. "Exactly it's not like they're opening a shisanyama- they shouldn't even be proud of this so called wedding"
He laughs. "Shouldn't you be there to support your brother tommorow?" I ask him. "No" Then who's going to be there for him cause the last time I checked, neither Nkosikhona, Nkosikhona, Zinhle and Zenzile are going to be there. "He has other siblings to support him"
"Can we go to bed now?" I want to shower before I go to sleep. "Already?" He panicks. "Yes, Lindo... It's getting quite late and I'm exhausted from today" I state in a duh tone. "Uhm, but we just got here... You know what, let's go and watch a movie instead"
He takes a worried glance at the time. "Lindokuhle, No" I get up, moving around the boat in search of a room. "Itumeleng!" He calls after me and I hurry past him, moving in different directions. "Show me to the bedroom, now please" I anxiously say. "Okay"
He grabs my arm, forcing me to slowly walk to the room. "Lindo!" I complain and he stops next to a door labelled with his second name. 'Orefilwe' "Can I go in now?" He hesitantly nods and I waste no time in walking in. My jaw drops and I take a threatening step back.
"Lindokuhle" I gasp, reaching back for him. His arms wrap around my waist from behind and I blink my tears away, staring at the decor around the room. There are rose pedals all around the floor and white bed sheets, accompanied by red balloons and boxes all laid out on the floor.
I don't get the chance to take in the rest of the room when he places me in the middle of the pedals laid out in a heart shape. "Oh my days" I exclaim whe he turns me to face him and he wraps his arms around my waist, practically forcing me to listen to whatever he has to say.
"I know that's it's a little too soon but... MaMashaba, These past few weeks that we've spent together have opened my eyes and heart... My heart's desire for you has only grown and I don't think that I can live without you. You've dismally transformed my life and our relationship, even though you're a little too egoistical and controlling I've grown to love that side of you and I hope that you can allow us to grow together and nature our feelings together... I love you, Itumeleng"
"I love you too" I murmer, leaning up to place my lips on his. "I may love you a little too much" He whispers into my lips. "Lindokuhle... What do you mean?" I mutter but my eyes go wide when he pulls out a velvet box from his pocket and he drops on to one knee. I attentively watch as he pops the box open, to reveal a large diamond band.
"Itumeleng Nthabiseng Mashaba... Will you marry me?"
