"Huh? I changed for you Lindo-" I drawl out but I cut myself off when I rush to the lawn, emptying my guts put on the grass. "Don't touch me" I hiccup, pushing him away from me. "Mxm, I want to see my baby" I walk into the house but my head starts spinning.

"Ouff" I grab onto the wall, gaining back my balance. "Itumeleng" He whispers shouts. "Let go of me-" My eyes start getting drowsy and my vision blurrs. "Lindo" I reach for him before I pass out.

My eyes snap open as I scan around the room. I'm back in my bed, in my pyjamas. It was just a dream, he doesn't care about me anymore. I push my tears away and get up, heading into the bathroom.

I take a shower and get ready. I make my way down to get something to eat. I pause once I check my alcohol cabinet. There's nothing in there. I swear I had atleast five bottles left over last night. What the- I check the bin and they're all emptied out. Even my expansive whiskey. Oh Modimo!

I spent half my paycheck on that! Yerr! I angrily pace around the kitchen. I know for a fact that I didn't do that. I place my hands on my face, heavily sighing. I'm never getting drunk ever again, heck not even tipsy! No more alcohol for me until further notice.

"Hi Nana'' I answer my ringing phone. "You left you stuff here" Huh? "Uhm, What?" I clear my throat. "Last night, I heard you arguing with Baba and when he took you home you left your slippers and purse here" My purse? "Oh uhm, I'll pick them up on my way to work"

I slip on my pumps and lock up the house before getting into my car, driving off to Lindokuhle's house. "Thanks" I say as she comes out with my purse and slippers in hand. "Aren't you going to come in? We're having breakfast" She offers. "Uhm- I have to get to work. I'll see you later, okay?"

"Please" She pouts. "I-I- Maqhawe, how about I fetch you after your classes and we'll go for lunch?" I say. "Okay" She sighs. "I love you" I peck her forehead and get back into my care, waving her off. I speed off to work. I get out, locking my car as my eyes admire the newly purchased skyscraper.

I literally want to scream right now. I wave at the receptionist, heading up to my office. I walk in, gasping as I look around. I faintly smile, picking up the card sitting on the table. "Happy first day of work, Ms CEO" My heart flutters.

"I don't think that she understands the words 'I don't want you' " Maqhawe complains. "She's still your mother and she's really trying" I try to reason with her.

"Well she's not trying hard enough... I don't want to give her a chance, I've spent seventeen years without her I can go another seventeen without her" She shamelessly says. "Okay keh, I'm not going to force you" I take a sip of my drink.

"You better not. I'm not ready" She slightly looks around before her eyes widen. "Ke eng?" I ask. "Baba's here" She state, lowering her head. "Why are you hiding? It's a free country" I shrug. "Uhm" She trails off. "Maqhawe" I warn. "Okay but please don't get mad"

"I may or may have not bunked my last class" She nervously chuckles. "You did what?" I whisper shout. "Shhhhh!" She begs with her eyes. "Don't shh me, why?" I frustratedly say. "You refused to have breakfast with us so I sort of set up this whole lunch thing"

"Maqhawe... If he sees us here he'll think that I'm making you skip school" I heavily sigh. "Mama... H-He's coming here!" She shrieks. "Don't get me involved Maqhawe" I fold my arms over my chest. "Maqhawe, wenzani la?"

"Uhm, Baba-" He cuts her off. "Aren't you supposed to be at school? Huh?'' I keep my eyes on my plate cause this is none of my business. "Ngikhuluma nawe" He gritts out. "I'm sorry, I wanted to spend time with her"

"You're making my child bunk school so that she can come and gossip with you?" He eyes me. "N-No'' I defend myself. "Baba She didn't know. I willingly came here" Maqhawe answers him. "Angikhulumi nawe, get in the car" He hands her the keys and huffs before reluctantly leaving the restaurant.

"If you're going to keep on-" I stand up, cutting him off. "I have somewhere to be" I head to the counter to pay the bill before leaving him there. Nxn. I get into my car and drive home with a very heavy heart. My phone rings as I enter my house and I answer it. "Baby?"

"Mah, I left my bag in my room... I'm with Baba" Sbani says. "Okay, When are you coming back?" I place my shopping bags on top of the table. "Uhm, I don't know... Maybe tommorow" He says, unsure. "Mara Sbani, is your sister also with you?" I take off my shoes.

"No she left with Aunty Zee" . "So you both left me alone?" I sigh. "It doesn't mean that we don't love you... I'll call you later neh?" He promises. "You better, I love you" I say. "I love you too" I stare out the window as it starts to rain.

I hang up and toss my phone onto my bed, taking a long shower and changing into my nightwear. God has finally answered my prayer, a weekend without the kids? Ha! I head to grab myself a bottle of wime but stop when I realise that I don't have any wine at all.

Mxm. I grab a mini tub of mint ice cream and sprawl out on the couch watching The rookie. If I'm going to spend my weekend alone, it better be with my TV and this weather calls for it.

The doorbell repeatedly rings. "Kea tla! Hawu!" I hop off the couch, heading over to answer it. It continues ringing as if they didn't hear me. I swing the door open, ready to shout at whoever it is that is abusing my doorbell. "Ke itse kea tla-"

"L-Lindo..."
