Hey you guys! So uh, I thought I uploaded this last month lol, apparently, I didn't so here you go, I hope you enjoy it and leave any feedback you have if you would like!

Cassidy's POV:

Harrison and I finally have gotten home from our little getaway and he's been amazing for the most part.

Unfortunately, he had to go back to work meaning I'm home alone most of the day. I normally have Sean with me but he won't be here until later. He got into trouble with Angelica and is probably getting his ass handed to him, right now.

I look at the clock and see it's 5:52 in the morning. I groan and roll over getting out of bed. Harrison and I still sleep in different rooms. I mean we're a married couple, who are dating each other. Our situation is very very weird and it's all our stupid parents' fault. But you know, I'm happy for now. He's an amazing boyfriend and he cares a lot about me so it's okay.

I walk into the bathroom and strip slowly as I would so rather be in bed right now. Once I hope in the shower I wash my hair and then start to shave my legs cause it's hot out, and a girl's gonna wear shorts in this weather. Just as I put my razor down, I heard the front door open. Odd.

I finish my shower and then get out, wrapping my towel around me. I walk into my room and put on some shorts and underwear with just a sports bra today. I'm about to put my shirt on when I hear a loud noise downstairs. Maybe it's Sean? I grab one of my T-shirts and walk out of my room putting it on.

"Sean? Harrison?" I stand away from the railing so no one can see me, but make sure they hear me. I get no response.

"Hello?" Every little noise goes quiet. I back into my room, quietly locking my bedroom and bathroom doors. I picked up my phone and tried to call Harrison. No answer. I try calling Sean. No answer. I call Angelica. She answers.

"Angelica?" I say quickly.

"Cass? What's going on? Why do you sound scared?"

"I was in the shower when I heard the front door open and I thought it was Sean, so I finished my shower and then got dressed. I walked out of my room but stayed away from the railing and called out. No one answered so I called out again. And then still no response. Everything went dead silent after that. I locked my doors and closed my curtains." She lets out a sigh.

"Honey, Sean just left not even a minute before you called to head over there. Could it be one of the guards?"

"What? No. The guards never come inside the house."

"Have you called Harrison?"

"Yes, but he didn't an-" Suddenly all of the lights go out and I'm left in complete darkness. I stand in my room frozen as I hold the phone. After a minute a voice breaks me out of my trance.

"Cass? Cassidy? CASSIDY!" I almost drop my phone but luckily I don't.

"Fuck, sorry!" She lets out a sigh.

"It's okay. Sean is almost there, just hide somewhere and don't make any noise.

"Okay, will do!"

Third-Person Point Of View:

Cassidy unlocked her bedroom door quickly. It would be suspicious if a random bedroom was locked. Cassidy's heart raced as she crouched under the bed, pulling the comforter down to conceal herself completely. Her breathing was shallow, and each inhale and exhale was a conscious effort to remain silent. The darkness enveloped her, and she clutched her phone tightly, listening intently for any sound that might betray the intruders' presence.

Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. Why had the lights gone out? Who could be in the house? Was it someone from the rival mafia, or was it a random break-in? She cursed herself for not being more prepared, for not knowing how to defend herself in situations like this. Harrison had always insisted on security, but she had never imagined it would come to this. She just felt weird about guards being in the house but she is coming to regret her decisions.
