For Skylar, 3rd year at Hogwarts could never be more complicated. Skylar Riddle, daughter of Voldemort, secretly adopted by Severus Snape, known throughout Hogwarts as Hunter, now has to cope with not fitting in at school, and the slowly increasing power of her father, but with the fading trust of her best ad only friends, the Golden Trio.

Skylar POV

"Skylar! What could possibly be so important that you have to stop your work in the middle of my class?" I jumped at the sound of my professors voice and hastily shoved away the notebook i was sketching in

"Sorry Da-Professor Snape" I flinched at almost calling him "Dad" in front of the whole class. But my mistake did not go unnoticed. The reactions were just as I had expected.

Most of the Slytherins were gaping at Professor Snape in shock, my friends Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger were looking from me to Snape, and the rest of the class... well, lets just leave it at you could've heard a spell being cast across the castle, it was so quiet.

I blushed and hid behind my long dark hair. At least no one thought to recognize my similarities to my biological father, the infamous Tom Riddle. We shared the same dark hair, green eyes, pale skin, and slightly arrogant but charming manner. But get this inside your head. I may look like my father, but I couldn't possibly despise him more than I do.

Snape cleared his throat. "Class is over. You are all dismissed." and with that I let out a sigh and left as Snape shooed us out of the classroom.

But before I could reach the safety of the Gryffindor common room, I felt a cold hand grab my shoulder, preventing me from walking any further. I turned around to face the last person I wanted to see: Draco Malfoy. We had enemies ever since I declined his offer to sit in a compartment with him on the train, preferring to sit with Harry, Hermione and Ron.

"So," Malfoy sneered. "You're a Snape." I rolled my eyes and glared up at him. "Don't think this will change anything, Malfoy. I still hate you and would rather go to Azkaban than be your friend!" then I left without a word, immediately collapsing into the warmth of my bed in my dorm room. I couldn't wait to go back to the Weasley's tomorrow, where Ron had invited me to spend summer.
