Suyin's throat dried up. Her guts warped into each other, sickening her core. She couldn't believe what she had caused. She gawked at the civilians who had collapsed on the floor, some unconscious and others staring right back at her.

"She's wild!" Someone screamed.

Suyin's eyes expanded, and she took a step back.

"The Shadow Wielder! She's going to harm us all like they said!" Another shouted and scampered away.

As more people bolted, Suyin glanced at her trembling hands. Her vision faded darker as she looked up at the fearful crowd, who deserved no harm. The edges of her vision continued to sink deeper into shadows. However, the darkness scurried away as another voice spoke from behind.

"Yin, what did you do?" Jungwon shot.

Suyin spun around. She perceived Jungwon's widened eyes and backed up. "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened."

"What did you do? Are they okay?" Jungwon repeated, flickering his eyes to the civilians. Jungwon stepped ahead of her. "Everyone! If anyone is injured, please wait for more professional medics to arrive," Jungwon announced and tended to the guards waiting for his presence.

Suyin gripped the skin of her arms, aware of the ground of fallen civilians. She felt the whole world shadowing itself.

"We leave you for one second, and this happens?" Jay said. Suyin turned to see Jay stalking toward her with a scowl steaming from his face.

"I didn't mean to," Suyin worried, shaking her head. Everyone's voices drilled into Suyin's mind. She palmed her forehead with anxiety meddling with her voice. "It was all an accident, I'm sorry," Suyin explained further. "I meant to hit Vera and Vera only."

"Guys," Jake and Heeseung finally arrived at the scene. "We've been trying to work with the city guards. What happened??"

"Shit, that's what," Jay said, pinching the bridge of his nose as his brow twitched.

"We all split up without thinking. One of us should've stayed out here with Suyin to help her," Sunoo sighed, fingers tapping his lips.

"It was all chaos," Sunghoon pointed out, arms crossed.

Suyin flickered her eyes around the scene of havoc. People gathered with loved ones, others attempting to get themselves off the ground. The sight clenched her heart.

"What kind of power do you hold?" a familiar dark voice, gripping threat in its tone.

They all shifted their attention to the man's solid voice. A familiar man strode down the broad road. His white cape heightened his vigor, waving with dignity behind his back against the chaotic scenery. Suyin knew this was Yang Kwangho–Jungwon's father.
