DANIELLE SPENT the rest of her night wondering about those numbers. The fact that she had never seen the girl before made the connection between them—marked by the numbers on their wrists—even more confusing. Mike had informed the group that she decided her name was "Eleven", which he then shorten to "El." This left Danielle wondering about her own origins.

Why was El named after her number, but she wasn't? Why was El found alone in the woods without a family, while Danielle had a loving one? The whole situation didn't make sense. But to uncover these answers, Danielle realized she needed to delve deeper into both her own past and El's. Hoping to find any similarities that might explain these numbers.

But of course, this plan of discovering her past and all couldn't be shared with any adults. She had informed the group about the mark the same night she discovered El had one too, but telling someone like her mom would be like betraying her friends. None of them were supposed to be out that night looking for Will in the first place, and Mrs. Lazarus would undoubtedly call all of their parents. Then their homes would be on COMPLETE lockdown. In conclusion, all the confusion and the discovery of El at all had to remain a secret within the party, and the party only.

The issue is that Lucas isn't exactly fond of El. Despite Mike and Danielle's efforts to convince him otherwise, he insists she's a 'distraction' from finding Will. This led to occasional arguments, but things never got too serious—until they did. The group was arguing for about 10 minutes about what to do with El. Lucas wanted to stick to the original plan of turning her in to Mrs. Wheeler. What they didn't realize was that El had some type of powers (which they discovered later when she used her damn mind to slam a door shut right in front of Lucas). And this changed alot.

Mike kept insisting that El knew where Will was. He thought maybe Will was with the 'bad men,' El had mentioned earlier. She couldn't speak more than a two-year-old, so they couldn't get any more information about Will out of her. But when they did ask her again, all she could do was flip over a D&D board and place a Demogorgon piece on top. But none of that is real. So what did it all mean?

"How about this one?" Mike asked, picking up a small stone.

"Too big for the sling." Dustin replied.

Danielle sighs, "I hope you guys know that a rock isn't gonna kill whatever the hell we might encounter." Of course, she continues to search for one anyway.

"Trust me, with my sling and the perfect rock, it will." Lucas smirks.

"Sure."

"So do you think eleven was born with her powers, like the X-Men? Or do you think she.. acquired them like Green lantern."

"She's not a superhero, she's a weirdo."

"Lucas!"

"What??"

Danielle stands up properly, originally crouched down, "She's not a weirdo just because you don't like her."

"It's not because 'i dont like her'."
