It was evident. Oh how much you adore and like him. The hood of your clothing flew from your head as you watched a certain dirty blonde-head actor rehearsing his lines for their club's upcoming play.
You silently sat by the side of the studio as the people around you worked their way to the scene presented. The director, Furina, stood in front of the stage cast who were holding their thick scripts in their hands. They were standing in a curved orchestral line with the main casts standing in the middle and the ensembles by both sides. Lyney is in the middle group, and that only means one thing...
He's one of the main leads.
You don't even know the guy well and yet he already caught your eyes with his talent and stage presence. It's not a romantic admiration you are having, rather it is an idolizing process you have.
Having to watch him before because of the persistence of your cousin stating that, he 'doesn't want to watch the weirdo alone'. Your cousin doesn't admit it, but he's one of Lyney's number-one supporters whenever their club has a production.
You've watched Lyney acting as J.D. from their adaptation of Heather's: The Musical, and Noah from the Notebook. His characters differ and yet you see Lyney adapt them so well.
His voice was alluring, and enchanting that if he plays a siren character, he'll succeed. Additional to his package is the fact that he's a great actor, in delivering his voice lines into the character traits, he plays them so well with his body language.
No doubt he garnered your attention and most likely he got the audience's too. A theater actor's job is to entertain and tell a story, and he's got it right.
Though as mentioned you've watched his plays, you never have met him outside of the auditorium. Your cousin always makes you wait for him to congratulate Lyney backstage with his other friends. Kuni always says that Venti pulls him there forgetting the fact that Kuni is with you.
"Rolling in three, two, one... Musical #8 playing."
"You know I want you"
Your eyes widened as Lyney started with the music's melody. Rewrite the stars? So he's playing as Phillip from The Greatest Showman?
To your dismay, the music was cut when the adviser of your club entered the room. Ms. Eula looked so serious while walking and nearing the director of the Theater club, which is Furina.
"We agreed that 6 PM is the maximum time for the Theater club in this studio. I already gave you students an extra 30 minutes to clean up, and yet you didn't. Where's your adviser?" Ms. Eula crossed her arms at Furina who was looking down.
Furina bit her lips before bowing slightly. "We're so sorry Ms. Eula, Sir Neuvillette is in a meeting for their districts. We'll be packing up now."
With those words, the members of the theater club started rummaging all over the place for their things to be packed. You honestly felt bad, but your club also needed the studio since you'll be competing in a nationwide competition. Plus, it was cleared that 3 pm to 6 pm will be taken by their club and 6 pm to 9 pm will be taken by the dance club.
You and the other dance club members stood up from your places before proceeding to the shelf meant for the bags. You, unfortunately, didn't notice the certain blonde before you so you accidentally bumped into him making his grip on his script fall.
Your eyes widened and you immediately apologized to the boy. Your cheek felt hot as you felt the embarrassment come to you.
"It's fine, sweetheart! I also almost didn't notice you either." Lyney smiled as he picked up his script. Luckily, his script was softbound so it didn't scatter around. Unlike Heizou who just had his script on paper and not even fastened together.
"I'm sorry again." You lightly bowed as you bit your lip. His endearment didn't even help with the embarrassment you were feeling. Heck, it made you so flustered that it added a shade of red to your cheeks.
"I told you it's fine! I'm Lyney, care to tell me your name?" He genuinely smiled before offering her his hand.
You gladly took it before shaking with his. You looked into your eyes with shyness and clear admiration, "I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you."
Lyney chuckled at your shy antics making you want to be swallowed by the grounds because you're not that good at dealing with new people, and it takes time for you to finally not be shy around them.
"It was also nice meeting you, (Y/N)!"
