"Love?"

You pondered the question. Sitting by the lonely pink tree of the Inazuma dormitories, you looked up at the sky. You wondered what to answer regarding the question the professor from the general education subject asked the class.

Love is a heavy word to be defined. Hell, you can't even wonder if the word could be defined in a single essay because that word is made with thousands of meanings yet nothing can easily write its motive. Maybe each person has their own perspectives of it? Yet what is the highlight of this word?

Leaning back, you saw a couple embracing each other on the park bench. You stared at their antics making your heart burst into bubbles as they both romantically laughed and spent time with each other. Oh how you wish you'll have the chance to feel the butterflies in your stomach.

Sometimes you wonder if you ever deserved love for it seemed like romantic attractions seem to avoid you.  'People say I'm pretty, but why don't I feel the love? They say I'm good, yet why can't I feel good? They say they appreciate me, but why do I feel deflated?' Looking back at the couple, you wish that you'll eventually feel what they're feeling.

Someday. I hope someday, it'll be finally my turn to feel loved.

Your thoughts were cut off when you heard rustling from the bushes. You looked behind the tree and glared at the shaking bushes. Grabbing your bag, you stood up and dusted your skirt. You pulled out your pink self-defense keychain set and gripped it with all your might. You put your phone deeply into your pocket before continuing your way to the bush.

Step by step, you quietly reached the bush. Your hands were shaking as you breathe in and out nervously. Slowly, you were pulling away the bushes and the leaves revealing a heavily wounded,

"Lyney!"

You panicked as you ran into his bloodied form. His right arm got its sleeves torn with a heavy slash opening his upper arm. Another slash was on his left thigh, and it was also bleeding the hell out.

Without further ado, you helped the guy up. Lyney slowly opened his eyes as he felt his body being carried out. In his peripheral vision, he saw a familiar (h/c) haired woman supporting his whole body weight. With his little energy left he managed to call her name, "(Y/N)".

"Shut up, I won't let you explain just let me bring you to my dorm."

Lyney, with a small amount of energy left, just gave a little smile before allowing the woman to carry him to her dormitories. It may be embarrassing, but he really needed the treatment because he couldn't assure himself that he could take care of it alone.

You patched the guy's slashes with your extra bandages, and laid his body down your bed. His soft and tired snores covered the entire room as you stared at him.
