As I walked through the school halls the next day, my heart felt lighter, my smile a little brighter. I couldn't help but feel like I was floating on air, my love for Timothée still buzzing in my veins.
I spotted him across the courtyard, his eyes locking onto mine with a warm smile. My heart skipped a beat as he made his way towards me, his stride confident and effortless.
"Hey, beautiful," he whispered, his lips brushing against my ear. "How's my girl doing today?"
I felt a blush rise to my cheeks as I smiled up at him. "I'm doing great, now that you're here."
Timothée chuckled, "I'm glad to hear that."
As we walked to our lockers, hand in hand, I felt like I was on top of the world. Our love was still a secret, but it felt like we were on top of the world, like nothing could ever bring us down.
How wrong and stupid I was to ever think that.
Rachel's eyes narrowed as she approached us, a knowing glint in her eye. "Well, well, well," she said, her voice low and sly. "Look at you two. You're radiating a certain... glow."
I felt my face flush as Timothée's hand tightened around mine. "What are you talking about, Rachel?" I asked, trying to play it cool.
Rachel raised an eyebrow. "I can tell. You two have finally done the deed, haven't you?"
Timothée and I exchanged a nervous glance but smiled at one another, bot of us remembering it at the same time.
Rachel chuckled, a sly smile spreading across her face. "I could tell from the end of the hall, Leia. You look different. You're glowing, girl! Being in love is a great look on you."
Timothée bolted, knowing what was coming next. He smiled at me. "I'll let you girls talk. I'll see you at lunch, Le-Le." He leaned down and kissed my forehead and left.
"So, spill the details...Le-Le!" she teased and her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
I shut my locker and leaned up against it. "Where do you want me to start? This weekend was so perfect."
Rachel's eyes widened with excitement. "Start from the beginning! I want to know everything. What happened when you got to his place? Did you guys go out or stay in? And most importantly, was it everything you hoped it would be?"
I blushed, feeling a flutter in my chest. "Okay, okay. So, we got to his place and we just hung out for a bit. We watched a movie, had some dinner, then we fell asleep on the couch, woke up... and then let's just say the man is good with his fingers." I giggled.
Rachel's eyes sparkled with excitement. "And?"
"And...then we had sex..."
"What was it like? Was it romantic? Was it passionate?"
I giggled once more, feeling my face flush. "It was all of those things and more. It was like our hearts were beating as one. And Timothée was so sweet and gentle... and passionate. It felt like our love was the only thing that mattered in the world."
Rachel squealed, her hands clapping together in excitement. "I'm so happy for you, Leia! I knew it would be special, but I could tell it was more than that."
I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest as I recalled the memory. "It was. It really was. His mouth was all over me, like he was worshipping me. And the way he looked at me, like I was the only person in the world... it was like our love was the only thing that mattered."
Rachel sighed, her eyes sparkling with envy. "That sounds so romantic. I'm so jealous, Leia. But also really happy for you. You two are meant to be."
I grinned, feeling a sense of joy and contentment wash over me. "I feel like I'm on cloud nine right now."
