"Do you at least have a good dry cleaner?"

Loki stopped at the sight of a woman bleeding out onto her favourite couch. "You could've at least put her on the table, Elijah. Surely you know by now that's my spot."

Elijah looked up from the grimoire he was reading. "I deeply apologize, my brother insisted that the new coffee table wasn't soaked in blood."

"Did he insist on ruining my favourite couch?" Loki looked over to Klaus, who seemed to be trying not to laugh.

"Honestly, we're finally back together and this is what you do?" Rebekah scoffed walking into the room. "Drench a couch in blood and have vampire book club?"

"Reading edifies the mind, sister." Klaus didn't look up from his book. "Isn't that right, Elijah?"

"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus."

"And what's with the dead girl?" Rebekah nodded to her, "Surely the etiquette of a book club hasn't changed that much in a hundred years."

"This is simply a..." Elijah trailed off, looking around the room before settling back on Rebekah, "Peace offering."

"After so much time decicating in a coffin, I presumed that my big brother might be a bit peckish," Klaus explained like it was common sense.

"And I explained to my little brother that forgiveness cannot be bought. I'd simply prefer to see a change in behaviour that indicates contrition and personal growth." Elijah told her, pointedly looking at his brother, who rolled his eyes. "Not this nonsense."

"Nonsense indeed," Loki grumbled, walking into the kitchen, aware they could all still hear her. "Stupid vampires ruining my things."

She pointedly ignored the sound of the vampires in question laughing

In the kitchen, she found Hayley rummaging through the fridge.

"I thought you were going out with Rebekah?" Hayley asked her.

"I was," Loki nodded. "Plans changed. She's getting stuck cleaning up her brother's messes and I'm hungry."

Loki pulled down two bowls from the cabinet, setting them down on the table. Hayley shut the fridge door and dejectedly poured her frosted flakes into a bowl.

"There's no milk."

"If there's no blueberries I'll kill someone."

Thankfully, there were blueberries.

Loki was sorting out her bowl of fruit, occasionally glancing up to see Hayley picking at her dry cereal. "Can't you just add water to it?"

"Dude, are you crazy?" Hayley scoffed.
