Kendell slipped into the backseat, and Mia floored it towards the party, music blasting from the speakers as they sang along to their favorite songs. The car was filled with laughter, banter, and excitement for the night ahead.
The four soon pulled up to the party, Kendell being the nervous one, this would be his first party party, if we're not counting birthday parties of course.
"Remember, we make an impression, so instead of walking.. we sashay." Mia said like a scolding mother.
"Yeeeah, i'm not doing that shit." Star said whilst exiting the car.
"Booooo, she's was lame anyways" Mia said, also exiting the car and sashaying.

.Kendell reluctantly stepped out of the car, taking a deep breath as he followed his friends to the entrance. The party was already in full swing, with music thumping and people mingling around the front yard. Mia led the way, her confidence radiating as she sashayed inside, while Star and Solana walked in with their usual cool demeanor.
The house was packed, a mix of familiar faces and strangers. Kendell felt a knot in his stomach but tried to focus on the fun. He followed his friends to the kitchen, where the drinks were flowing freely. "Ugh, I needed this," Mia said as she took a swig of her drink and sighed.
Kendell watched his friends from a distance, leaning against the kitchen counter. Mia, Star, and Solana were in their element, chatting animatedly with the other party-goers, their laughter blending with the pulsating music. Kendell felt a twinge of envy at how easily they seemed to fit in with every crowd that there in, He shook it off and turned around and grabbed a cup and filled it with the only non-alcoholic drink he could find.. which was water.
Kendell took a swig of his water and set the water down. He turned around and was hit by unexpected white wall. Kendell glanced up to the wall, but it wasn't a wall, it was a man.. a handsome man at that.
"You good shawty?" The man asked, bending down to help Kendell.
Kendell was enamored, it's been awhile since he's been knocked off his feet by a man, literally.
"Yo? you good ma?" The man asked again, Kendell finally snapped out his trance
"Yeah.. um, yeah yeah, im good." Kendell said, still looking into the mans eyes.
The man chuckled, offering a hand to help him up. "I'm Catéo, by the way."
Kendell took his hand, feeling a spark as their skin touched. "Kendell. Thanks for the help."
"No problem gorgeous." Catéo said, his smile warm and inviting. "First party, ma?"
Kendell laughed nervously. "Is it that obvious?" Kendell tried to maintain eye contact, but now seeing the taller male and his features, he was nervous as hell, even Catéo was more handsome than Angelo, wait should he be even thinking like that.
Catéo simply nodded and the two shared a laugh, Catéo than took a long look at Kendell, He was obviously attracted to him, Kendell already felt shy under Catéo's gaze, he only met him a few minutes ago?

A few hours has passed and Kendell was still shy when it came to this, He saw the dancefloor and envyed everyone on it, He wanted to go out there and put on a show, but he didnt have his drag, his armor..
He felt an arm on his sholder, when he turned he face Catéo, Kendell felt a surge of relief as Catéo's reassuring presence enveloped him. "Oh, hey... I thought you left," Kendell said with a hint of dry humor, trying to mask his earlier nervousness.
"Nah, I couldn't just leave without checking on you," Catéo replied with a smirk, his voice smooth and comforting. "You aight though, you seem like you deep in ya thoughts or something."
Kendell chuckled softly, grateful for Catéo's attentiveness. "Yeah, I guess this whole party thing is still kinda new to me, It's just like... I'm not used to all this socializing and dancing. It's like everyone here knows exactly what to do."
"I know exactly how you feel, feeling out of place and shit, not feeling like you belong" Catéo said, while he looks at the people on the dance floor, slightly envying them.
"Really, how did you you.. stop feeling that way" Kendall askes, as he fiddled with his nails.
"I stopped giving a shit what people think or say, I like to live my life how I live it, who gives a fuck what these low lifes have to say about it, It's almost like armor to peoples words." Catéo says, taking another swig at his drink.
Kendell giggled, but then pondered on what he said, "so what's your armor then Catéo?"
"Awh shit, good question.. I guess I'm still looking for it," Catéo said, eyeing Kendell playfully as he took another sip of his drink. "What's yours, Kendell?"
Kendell hesitated, shifting slightly under Catéo's gaze. "Well..." he began, nervously twirling the straw in his water. "It's actually... my drag."
Catéo raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Drag, huh? That's dope. You perform or something?"
Kendell nodded, feeling a rush of relief that Catéo didn't seem put off. "Yeah, sometimes. It's like my alter ego, you know? When I'm in drag, I feel... liberated. Like I can be anyone I want to be."
Catéo smiled warmly. "That's beautiful, Kendell. I respect that. Ain't nothing wrong with owning who you are and doing what makes you feel alive."
Kendell's nerves eased as Catéo's words sank in. "Thanks," he said softly, meeting Catéo's gaze with newfound confidence. "I guess everyone's got their own armor, right?"
Catéo chuckled, leaning closer. "Exactly. And I gotta say, you look stunning tonight, armor or not."
Kendell blushed, grateful for Catéo's compliment. "You're not so bad yourself," he teased back, feeling a surge of warmth as their banter flowed effortlessly.
"What's ya ig ma, lemme follow you" Cateo said, as he pulls out his phone.
"Aight, it's @thekendoll" Kendell replied with a grin, spelling it out for Catéo. He watched as Catéo quickly tapped away on his phone, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Catéo smirked as he followed Kendell. "Done. Now I can keep up with your sparkly self," he said playfully, leaning closer to Kendell.
The pair looked into each others eyes untill Mia came out of no where, "Yo Ken, someone told me that we got crack in this fuck ass party and someone tipped off the police so we got to go now." Mia said with urgency in her voice.
"and by someone.. you mean you?" Kendell said as he took a sip of his water playfully.
"No boy, lets get going." Mia said as she grabbed Kendell's hand and dragged him near the front door.
Kendell looked back at Catéo..
"Bye Catéo"
