The morning light filtered through Kendell's bedroom window, casting soft shadows across the room. He stirred under the covers, the memories of the previous night flooding back. The party, meeting Catéo, and the rush of adrenaline as they made their hasty exit. He sighed, stretching out the lingering grogginess, and reached for his phone on the nightstand.
The screen lit up with notifications: a few texts from Mia, some Instagram likes and follows, and a new message from ... CATÉO?!? He knew that Catéo followed him but honestly, Kendell thought he might've been a bit drunk but a dm??
Kendell opened it eagerly and it read, "yo, wsg beautiful?"
Kendell's heart skipped a beat, a mix of excitement and disbelief flooding his senses. He stared at the screen for a moment, trying to process the fact that Catéo had actually messaged him. And called him beautiful? Damn. He quickly typed a reply, trying to keep his cool.
"Not much, just waking up. You good?"
The typing indicator appeared almost immediately, and Kendell's pulse quickened. Catéo was quick with his replies.
"Aight, aight. Last night was wild. Had to check if you straight."
Kendell couldn't help but smile. He was definitely straight, especially now that he had Catéo's attention. "Yeah, all good. You?"
Catéo's response came in fast. "Yeah, I'm good. Just thinkin' bout last night, ya feel? You was mad chill, we gotta do that again."
Kendell felt a rush of excitement. The thought of hanging out with Catéo again was more than appealing. "For sure. Had a blast. You got any plans tonight?"
"Nah, not yet. Tryna link? I got some spots to show you."
Kendell was so giddy he couldn't stop smiling, "Sounds like you tryna take me on a date fr😭"
Kendell bit his nails and as the 3 dots popped on his screen immediately.
"hell ya ma." Kendell basically screamed in excitement.
"Well, lemme show you something first, later tonight I have a drag show.. would you be willing to you know.. go?" Kendell was still biting on his nails, he still couldn't believe this was even real, Angelo was far from his thoughts, right?
"you cute asf, hell yeah I'll go, where is it?"
Kendell than texted Catéo his show address, he was jumping around in his room and squealing.

veeery short chapter, Kendell finally has an actual date!!! hopefully it'll go well, he deserves it🙂↕️
