The madrigals waited till night time. "Mama, what are we waiting for?" Julieta asked. "Waiting for nighttime," Alma replied. "Why nighttime? I'm just curious, " Julieta replied. "It's julios gift. I have an idea. Since Julio can see spirits, it has to be only during nighttime." Alma explained. "But how does this help the community?" Julieta asked. "If a person is having a bad day, then they can see a loved one who has passed." Alma explained. "Ok, that's a good way to look at it," Julieta said. "But how long will this be per night because Julio has to sleep." Julieta said. "Maybe a few hours." Alma said. "Ok, but what time do we start?" Julieta asked. "Around 8" Alma replied.
It's 7:30 pm. The madrigals are having dinner. "So what is Julio gonna do to help the community." Camilo asked. "I am also curious," Julio asked. "You'll be helping people see their family members who have passed," Alma explained. "Oh, ok," Julio said. "What's the matter?" Alma asked politely. "How will I get sleep?" Julio asked. "When you shut your eyes," Camilo teased. "You'll only do it for a few hours." Julieta said softly. "Ok, but what time do I start?" Julio asked. "8-10 p.m." Alma said. "Ok, well, I'm gonna go get ready then." Julio said. Julio then went upstairs.
It's 7:45 pm, and Julio hasn't come out of his room. Alma is becoming impatient. "What is taking Julio so long?" Alma asked. "I don't know. I'll go check, " Julieta said. Julieta walks upstairs and knocks on julios' door. "Julio, everything ok?" Julieta asked. Julio didn't respond. Julieta opened the door and didn't see him in his room. Julieta tapped her foot before deciding to sit on the bed. "Julio? Are you under the bed?" Julieta asked quietly. "No," Julio replied. "Oh, then who am I talking to right now." Julieta teased. Julio came out from under the bed.
"There he is." Julieta said. "Why were you under the bed?" Julieta asked. "I'm nervous." Julio said. "You don't have to be nervous. Think of how many people you'll make happy." Julieta said. "You're right. I need to look on the bright side." Julio replied. "Let's get you re-." Julieta was cut off by Julio. Julio hugged Julieta before she could finish her sentence. "Thank you." Julio said. Julieta hugged Julio back. "You're welcome," Julieta said softly. "Now, let's get you ready to help the community." Julieta said.
It's now 8:10, and Julio and Julieta come outside for Julio test. A few townsfolk come up to Julio and get down on julios' eye level. "Good evening, young man. A little bird told me that you have a special gift." The townsfolk said. "Yes, that's correct." Julio said. The townsfolk reached in his pocket and pulled out a pocket watch from his family member. "This pocket watch belonged to my father." The townsfolk said. Julio gently took the pocket watch from the townsfolk. And a glowing aura appeared around Julio.
Just then, a spirit of a strange man appeared. The townsfolk was shocked when he saw his father standing right before his eyes again. "Father?" The townsfolk asked. The spirit didn't respond. "Is something wrong?" The townsfolk asked Julio. "I don't know he isn't responding to me either. "Well, what do we do?" The townsfolk asked nervously. Julio started to panic because the townsfolk was starting to get anxious. Julio politely gave the watch back to the townfolk and ran inside.
Julieta looked at Alma and followed Julio inside while Alma apologized to the townsfolk. Julieta goes up to Julio room and knocks on his door. "Julio, are you in there?" Julieta asked. Casita opened the door for Julieta. Julieta saw Julio on his bed crying. She immediately went over to hug him and calm him down. Julio hugged Julieta. "Did I do something wrong?" Julio asked. "No, no, it's your first time." Julieta said calmly. "But he was getting mad." Julio said. "He wasn't getting mad he was just nervous because he hadn't seen his father in a very long time. You didn't do anything wrong, I promise." Julieta explained.
Julio yawned. "You getting tired?" Julieta asked softly. "Yes, very," Julio replied. "Well, let's put you to bed then." Julieta said. So Julio lays down, and Julieta covers him up with his blanket. "You'll get better, I promise." Julieta said. So Julieta turned the lights off and leaves. Julio grabs his mother's necklace so she can be with Julio throughout the night.
