10- The Cost of Magic

Time Skip (smut warning)

-Jo's POV-

Kai is tied up and gagged, unconscious on the couch and Regan is tied up in another room

"Sure you're okay having a Pentobarbital-ed houseguest?" I say to Ric

"I am. If it buys us enough time to get you back into fighting shape." He responds to me smiling

Damon and Elena are sitting at a table in the next room where Regan was. I go to check on them and they were sitting and talking while Elena was trying to get blood off her shirt

"I can help you clean that if you want. One part amonia, two parts meat tenderizer." I gell Elena

"You invented a stain remover?" she asks

"I'm not afraid of a little blood." I tell her smiling and Elena shrugs, smiles and follows me out of the room

-Regan POV- 

I start to wake up and i was tied to a chair . ILook around and al I see was Damon.

"Asshat let me go" I yell at him

"No" He says smiling 

"Where's Kai"

"Youre little boyfriends if fine for now" after saying that he gets up and leaves

-Kai' POV-

I wake up tied up and see no one but Damon

"Rise and shine, you little weasel." Damon said smirking at me I tried to use magic on Damon, but it didn't work. "Oohh, trying to pop a blood vessel in my brain? Sorry. Not gonna work. Looks like all that magic you sucked up drained away while you were asleep, which is good for me. Don't worry, I know where you can get more."

I sits up and laughs once, humorlessly "You really think I'm gonna trust you? And where Regan?"

-Regan's Pov-

I untie myself with magic and get up, heading towards the main room where I hear Kai's voice.

"No, you can't trust him, and I'm right here, darling," I announce as I enter. Everyone turns to me.

"How the hell did you get free?" Damon asks, standing up.

"I have magic, duh. Also, hi, Tyler."

"No, no, no, you shut up. And Kai, I'm not gonna trust you either. I just happen to need a magic siphon, and you're the only game in town."

Kai looks down at Tyler, hops off the bed, then looks back at him. "Hi." He turns back to Damon. "Let's discuss my fee."

Damon's eyes narrow, his patience clearly wearing thin. "Your fee?" he asks, his tone dripping with disdain.

Kai smirks, leaning casually against the wall. "Oh, come on, Damon. You didn't think I'd do this for free, did you? I need something in return."

"And what would that be?" Damon asks, crossing his arms.

"I want freedom," Kai replies, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous light. "No more being hunted, no more prison worlds. I want to live my life without constantly looking over my shoulder."

Damon laughs, a bitter sound. "You think I can just wave a magic wand and make that happen?"

Kai shrugs. "You can figure it out. You're resourceful."

Tyler, still glaring at Kai, interjects, "And if we refuse?"
