Sophia's POV

"Vivi baby, who is that girl you're with!" I heard a voice coming from the main door.

I looked where that voice came from, and it was from a blonde woman who was an exact copy of Vivienne just a bit older. From Vivienne's reaction, it was either her mom or a family of hers.

I looked back at Vivienne who was smiling awkwardly at me, I smiled at her back, I was going to enjoy every moment I had with her mom and make Vivienne uncomfortable. I always loved to annoy her, and today was definitely no exception.

"Yeah, Vivienne," I said with a mocking smile. "Why don't you introduce me to your mom?"

"Shut up" I heard her whisper.

"What was that?" I said with a smirk on my face. "Can you please say that louder love? I didn't hear you." I said, looking at her green eyes.

I felt Vivienne's mom approach us. "You must be my daughter's friend" she said before giving me a genuine smile. "I'm Vivienne's mom."

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Kingsley," I said, shaking her hand. Her grip was firm, just like her daughter's stubbornness. "I'm Sophia Carrington."

She laughed softly. "Stop with the formalities, just call me Evelyn" she said. "You make me feel old by saying Mrs"

"Mom", I heard Vivienne's voice behind me.

"What Vivi?" Evelyn asked, turning her sharp gaze on her daughter. "Why don't you guys go inside, it's so hot out here" Evelyn said. "I just made my special lemonade. I know how much you love it, Vivienne."

Vivienne sends her mother a smile. "I know mom."

As we walked towards the entrance, I couldn't help but admire the huge house of Vivienne's home. The exterior had always hinted at wealth, but stepping inside was like entering another world. The cool air of the foyer was a welcome relief from the heat outside, and I took a moment to take in the marble floors and high ceilings. I didn't realize how big her home was.

We were greeted by two maids at the entrance. One was a familiar blonde.

"Good afternoon Ms Vivienne", the other maid said.

"Hi Christine," she said, handing her the keys to her car. "Leila" she smiled at the blonde who was staring at me with wide eyes.

"Ms Vivienne" Leila said before rushing to her and grabbing her purse. "Uh would you like something?" She stuttered.

Vivienne frowned and asked Leila, "Are you okay, Leila?" before grabbing her purse again. "Sorry, my purse is kinda heavy, and you look like you're going to pass out," she said, genuinely worried.

"Yes, I'm sorry, Ms. Vivienne," she apologized, blushing and looking down at her feet.

"Leila, honey, why don't you go and rest for the rest of the day?" I heard Evelyns, voice approaching us. "And Christine, please call doctor Williams to go check on Leila" Evelyn said before receiving a call from someone. "I'll be right back Vivi." she said before looking at me with a wide smile "Make yourself at home sweetie" Evelyn said before walking away.
