"How did I die?"
"You were a hero, sweetheart. But, even heroes die when nature wills so."
"I can't remember what happened last! I can't remember what happened to Annabeth!"
"She died. The storms were unkind."
"But why wasn't she rebirthed like I was? She was a greater hero than I was."
"If it was possible to reincarnate her, we would have done so already, sweetheart. But the fates only granted you this opportunity."
"But-"
"I am sorry that we couldn't save Annabeth like we did you. But, don't waste this new life that so few ever got in history. Annabeth would have wanted you to be happy. If you truly loved her, then grant her wish and let her be happy amongst the stars."
The 2-year-old raven-haired faint blue-eyed demigod nodded sadly.
11 years later (from the time Percy died):
"Perseus Jackson, come down here!" Hestia shouted at the top of her voice.
Percy, twirling his slender wand while posing in front of the mirror, decided that now would be a good time to get breakfast. He apparated downstairs right at the chair. It had been 4 years since he had perfected his apparition. That's what happens when the goddess of magic teaches you magic herself.
Percy inhaled his breakfast (figuratively speaking, of course) and was about to get ready for school when Hestia stopped him from rushing.
"Hold on, Percy. Could we talk?"
Percy looked quizzically at Hestia and sat back down in the chair.
"The session is about to end this week." She stated an obvious fact. Percy nodded.
"You will be attending Hogwarts 2 months later." She said. Percy nodded again. He still didn't understand why he was to go to Hogwarts in Scotland when he could have just gone to Illvernorny which was in America.
After all, Percy had no idea of the great plans laid in front of him.
"I just want you to know that you will be safe there," Hestia said, noticing the look on Percy. Percy smiled in reply and gave Hestia a hug.
"I must get to school now. I am getting late."
Hestia handed the bag to Percy as he left for his school. It was only Percy's primary school days. Although Percy had ADHD and dyslexia, he managed to get expelled from only 2 schools till then. The first school was blown up, but that was history. The second one was. . . well, that was a situation best not talked about. This one was where Percy had been for over 2 years and it was okay. Percy loved school, now that he was just repeating stuff he had already learned. Besides that, his demigod scent had reduced considerably after his 'death', meaning that monsters rarely disturbed him.
School was uneventful for Percy. The long periods and endless lectures, the toxic middle-schoolers who thought they were highschoolers already, and stuff like that, had bored Percy to Morpheus' realm in the middle of history class.
Finally once school had ended, Percy felt like the day had something in store for him.
At a single glance, it would only appear that an ordinary woman with some walking disorder was climbing down a fleet of stairs slowly. However if a clear sighted mortal or anyone with a trace of ichor in them would look closely, they would see the woman with a prosthetic bronze leg, specifically a celestial Bronze leg, and another donkey leg. That, along with the ends of the wings poking out from the back gave it away. It was an Empousai, something Percy had a bachelor's degree in killing.
