{MinJi's POV}

The bell rings, signaling the end of Music class.

For some reason, during the entire period, Jungkook ignored me and pretended I didn't exist.

What is up with him?

I'm about to walk towards Jungkook when he immediately leaves the classroom, with the rest of our friends.

What's going on?

Why did they leave in a hurry?

I leave the classroom and bump into someone's chest.

"Woah, where you goin MinJi?" Vernon asks as he takes a step back.

"I was going to follow them, but they're gone", I say as I look down the hallway. He looks down the hallway as well and says, "oh... I'm sorry. Do you want to look for them? I can help?" I shake my head and sigh.

"I can take you home?" Vernon asks with a small smile as he pats my shoulder. I nod with a small smile and we exit the school together.

Why were they ignoring me the entire period of music class?

Did I do something wrong?

Is Jungkook still upset that I can't remember our past memories?

I don't know anymore...

I lead Vernon to my home and I make it to the front door.

"Want to come in?" I ask and he nods.

"Sure" he says nervously and I tilt my head.

Why is he so nervous??

I shrug and open the door and walk in as he walks in behind me.

"Appa! I'm home", I say and I hear my father run in from the kitchen.

"Welcome home-" My dad says but is cut off by seeing Vernon standing next to me.

"H-Hansol... It's been awhile", my father says as he stares at Vernon with wide eyes.

What's going on?? I'm so confused...

"How's your mom doing?" My dad asks Vernon and he shrugs.

"She's better. She's married now, and I am very happy with who she married. He's the best dad I could ever ask for. She's also happy that I went to visit my step sister", Vernon says with a small smile.

"You have a sister? Why didn't you tell me?! How old is she?!" I ask him and he hesitates as he looks over at me.

"She's.. A year younger then me, same age as you", Vernon says as he avoids my gaze and gives my father a glare.

"Really?!! I should meet her sometime!" I say with a grin and I hear my father sigh.

"MinJi, you don't have to meet his step sister..." My father says as he looks away slightly.

"Why not?? Is she in America?" I ask Vernon and he shakes his head.

"She's right... Here", Vernon says as he places his hand on my head and ruffles my hair.

Wait...

Vernon... IS MY STEP BROTHER?!

How come I never knew about this until now?!

I stare with wide eyes at my father and he says, "I cheated on your mother... 17 years ago... A year before you were even born."

No... My father cheated, on my mother?!

My heart hurts...

I take a deep breathe and turn around. I walk out of my house while slamming the door behind me.
