Kehinde Williams needed a break. The high-powered financial mogul from Manhattan felt an unshakable restlessness. At the insistence of his friend Chris, he decided to head to a secluded cabin retreat in North Carolina to clear his mind.

The retreat, nestled deep in the woods, promised tranquility. As Kehinde arrived, the fresh air and rustling leaves seemed to offer the peace he sought. However, his plans hit an immediate snag at the reception desk.

"There must be some mistake," Kehinde argued with the receptionist. "I reserved Cabin 7."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Williams," the receptionist replied. "Cabin 7 is already taken."

Abi Mensah, a business manager from Charlotte originally from Ghana, overheard the commotion. She stepped forward. "I believe that's my cabin," she said, her voice steady but polite.

Kehinde turned, surprised. "Are you sure? I made the reservation weeks ago."

"So did I," Abi countered.

The clerical error was undeniable, and they reluctantly agreed to share the cabin until the mix-up could be sorted out. Their first night was awkward, each navigating the unexpected and unwanted company in the peaceful retreat they had sought for solitude
