Suitcase tossed and turned, shutting her eyes tightly in discomfort. Her face scrunched up, beginning to sweat.
She could see a figure in her dream, a tall figure who hovered over her. A knife in hand, their grasp being tight and not showing any sign of letting go. They aimed it right above her heart, she cried out in fear, screaming 'No!', yet it was too late. With a thrust of the blade, the knife punctured through her heart.
She could feel the pain in her ribs, gasping and choking, blood staining her clothes.
She thrashed in her sleep, finally sitting up in a panic, she caught her breath. She looked down, kicking the sheets off to only see.. no blood. She was ok. She was safe.

Laying back down onto her mattress, she felt her heart thankfully beating. Rapidly.
Swallowing a lump in her throat, she stood up and looked over to her roommate's bed. Seeing Soap rest soundly.
She walked out of the room quietly, tip toeing across the hardwood floors.
She creaked the door open carefully and walked out of the shared room.

Suitcase traveled to the living room, sitting on the couch and stared at the floor. Her breath shaky.
Why did that feel so real?

She heard the Hotel doors open, a gust of cold air caused her to shiver. Snow finding its way in from the breeze.
Looking up, she noticed Balloon walk in.

"Balloon? What are you doing?" She asked.
Balloon frantically looked around, shutting the door quickly and landed their eyes onto the girl.
Their face hard to make out in the dark, yet their eyes somehow kept a faint glow.

"I needed to step out side..for a breather.." Balloon pointed towards the door, catching their breath almost like they had ran a marathon.

"Why? Are you ok?" Suitcase's voice became full of concern, Balloon took a minute to breathe before replying with a raspy 'yes'.
Balloon walked over, covered in snow,it melted onto their clothes, drenching them.

"Why are you up? Did something happen?" Balloon commented.

"Hm? Oh, I just had a nightmare is all.." Suitcase blew her bangs out of her eyes, staring at Balloon who also stared back.

"Wanna talk about it?" Balloon sat down onto the couch beside Suitcase, their attention focused onto the girl.

Suitcase chuckled, shaking her head, "It's stupid, I'm fine really.."
There was silence.
"Ok..maybe I do." She said shamefully.
Balloon leaned over, resting their elbows onto their knees and their chin into their palms, all while glancing up at suitcase with pondering eyes.
"It's just.. it felt so real.. I never had such a violent dream before. God, it was a rush!"

"Well? What happened?" Balloon said curiously.

"I was— stabbed! It was so weird, I was standing in a room.. it looked so dirty, and it was cold, I remember that. And then there was this- person? Thing? Too hard to tell, but they stabbed me! It hurt a lot, they didn't even say anything, it was just quiet. It was eerie if anything." Suitcase sighed, resting her back into the sofa, "I'm glad it's over with, I was terrified." Balloon listened in amusement but didn't say anything.
Suitcase sat in uncomfortable silence, "Uh..yeah.. so, do you usually go outside often without.. a coat?"
Balloon blinked, snapping out of it.

"Oh, you know I just think it feels more.. free? I love the cold you know! Can't get enough of it!" Balloon snickered, Suitcase slightly laughed.

"Ha..ha." She looked concerned, "Balloon.. the other day.."

"Hm?"

"You..worried me. Remember? You practically kicked me away from your room. What was up? You aren't usually like that."
Balloon glanced away.

"I'm fine, I just felt a bit sad is all! Honest,"

"Balloon, I'm serious, you've been off since you got here.. you're my best friend, I don't want you to be doing this to yourself, please.." She had sounded genuinely concerned for her friend, Balloon. "Is there anything you need to talk about?"
Balloon stared down into their lap, sitting up fully, they turned to her with a saddened expression.

"I promise, I'm fine.. you don't need to worry about me, ok?"
A Liar.
Suitcase's hopeful eyes closed, looking away from Balloon and sighed.

"Ok, I believe you." She smiled. Balloon smiled along with hers. Opening their arms wide, Suitcase allowed herself to fall against him, the two embracing eachother comfortingly.

"I love you Suitcase."

"I love you too.." Suitcase mumbled, yet her mind trailed off. Distracted.
Looking through the glass window from the couch. She could see a trail of footsteps leading to the trees. Squinting her eyes, she swore she could see something deeper within the woods. A shed.
