Suitcase couldn't take her mind off of what she saw.
She tapped the table anxiously, resting her cheek in her palm. She didn't get much sleep last night.

"Suitcase?" A voice addressed her.
The girl looked up with half lidded eyes, raising her eyebrows.

"Hm?"

Baseball couldn't help but give Suitcase a worried look, sitting beside her at the table.
"Are you ok? You don't seem..y'know, all there."
Suitcase looked down at the table, her eyelids fluttering shut.

"I didn't get much sleep last night."

Baseball frowned, "You're worried about Nickel too, huh?"
"I know it's tough but it'll be ok—"

"What?" Suitcase looked back up at Baseball, furrowing her brows at the assumption.
"I mean- I'm.. worried about him, yeah but that wasn't the reason I.."

"Oh, oh! I'm so sorry, I just-" Baseball awkwardly shifted in his seat, sighing.
"I'm sorry, I just can't stop thinking about him right now. It's been hard."

"I can tell.." she murmured, her attention trailing off to the living room. "Hey Baseball?"

"Yeah?"

"Let's say, you care for someone, very very much, but you think they did something bad.. what would you do?" She asked cautiously.
Baseball's eyes narrowed, he went silent for a moment.

"Why do you ask? Is there's something you need to talk about.."

"No. I just need an answer.."

Baseball leaned back in his chair, the question stumped him.
"I guess I'd go see for myself if what I thought was true or not."
The brunette girl clenched the hem of her sweater. His words swarming in her head,

"go check for myself.." she whispered.

If what she saw was really there then she had to check.
She'd have to hurry though.
Picking up her legs through the tough snow was difficult for her, it made her shiver, her bare legs being tortured by the ice cold.
She hugged herself tightly, her coat being her only thing protecting her from the strong breeze. She edged herself closer, and closer to the trees, the hotel growing distant. Looking around, she squinted, attempting to find anything a this point.
That was when she caught something with her eyes, the exact building she was searching for. She swallowed hard. Slowly walking towards it, she could feel fear crawling up her back and to her neck. Hee heart pounded so loud she could hear it in her head. That was before she saw something shiny poking out of the snow, looking down closer, she could see an imprint on the snow, as if something was placed right in front of her feet. She barely kicked it with her foot.
Suddenly a loud snap echoing, the metal contraption snapping like the jaws of a shark, its shiny metal teeth baring at her. A bear trap.
Her heart raced, she placed a hand over her heart, feeling her body shake, she carefully made her way over to the shed like building. Stepping in, she noticed how low the ceiling was, standing on her tippy toes she could touch it with her fingers.
She heard shuffling, her ears pearled at the sound of this. Slowly taking a step forward, she turned the corner slightly.

She could've saw anything. It could've been an animal, god, she wish it was an animal. For her eyes landed on a body.
A cold, stiff body.
A body of her friend.
Nickel.
He laid motionless on the ground.
Suitcase felt her eyes begin to water.
she could only hear the wind blowing in her ears, her stomach turned. Making her nauseous, she turned and knelt down on the floor, gagging, she could feel vomit come up her throat, the burning acid of her stomach just barely making it out of her system. She wiped her eyes, leaning against the wall and cried, refusing to stare at the body any longer.
That was before she heard footsteps.
Eyes shooting open, she slowly looked up.

Balloon stared at her, a deadpan expression plastered on their face.

"Suitcase-"

"Get away from me you monster!" She shrieked, she stumbled to her feet and shoved Balloon away. Making them fall against the wall, Balloon attempted to grab ahold of her arm but grabbed nothing but the air.
Suitcase screamed, running out of the shed and ran towards the hotel.
All she could think was 'run, run just keep running, please don't stop running.'
She reached her hands out for the door and busted in. Crashing to the floor. She looked behind her and noticed what was once her friend running right after her. She shrieked and ran up the stairs, feeling her legs begin to ache from the snow and the sudden running. She ran down the hallway as it felt like it was spinning. She ran to the only place she knew she'd be safe.

Running inside of her room, she locked the door behind her, leaning her back against it before letting out a shaky sigh of relief.
She was safe.
She was alright.
She slid down the door, hugging her knees and rocked in place. Comforting herself, where was Baseball when she needed him?

There was a sudden bang on the door, rapid twisting at the door knob and shouting.

"Suitcase! Let me explain!"
Suitcase crawled away from the door and close to her beside table, looking around, she pulled a chair and aligned it up against the door.

"Stay away from me!" She cried, "I don't want to hear anything!"
Still, banging from the door. It overwhelmed her, grabbing her hair, she screamed.
"STOP IT! GO AWAY! YOU'RE INSANE!"
Balloon stepped back from the door, silence filling the room finally.
Suitcase let go of her hair, Relief flowing over her.

A loud thump against the door.
No.

Then again, and again, and again.
No, no no.
Balloon busted down the door, the chair thrown to the side. Balloon looked infuriated.

Reaching out to Suitcase and tackled her to the ground

Reaching out to Suitcase and tackled her to the ground. She gasped, her body knocking into the table and knocked over a lamp.
she could feel her throat closing up, Balloon's fingers wrapping around her throat.
She kicked her legs from underneath them, her mouth agape as she started to feel drool pool in her mouth.
Her eyes fell upon the broken lamp beside the two.
She looked back at Balloon as his eyes stared right through her.
Slowly reaching out for the lamp, she grabbed ahold of it before smashing it against Balloon's head, Balloon yelling and fell to the side, holding their head as blood started trickling down their face.
Suitcase gasped for air, standing up, she ran to the window and screamed.

"SOMEONE HELP ME—!" She shouted for anything, Anyone to help her. Yet Balloon stood back up, holding their head, glaring at her with pure disgust.
Noticing the window was open behind her, he took the opportunity and lunged at her,
pushing her out the window.
But then, they felt themselves leaning forward with her, her grasp on their shirt as the two leaned out the window, then a slip.
