King's Landing, 129 AC

It's been days since King Viserys I passed, but no one in the Red Keep spoke of his death. They couldn't announce King Viserys death without a male heir to the iron throne and did not want Rhaenyra Targaryen to claim what was believed to be hers. In the iron of the throne, there was no Queen to sit on, only a King.

They needed Aegon II Targaryen on that iron throne but that all changed when he fled away from what they believed was his destiny.

Dowager Queen Alicent sent Kings Guard to the Flea Bottom to find her son. The last words of her dying husband are Aegon, her son would be the prince that was promised to untie the Realm.

Alicent knew that she needed to find her eldest son to make him King. If it meant leaving the King Viserys I's wrapped body in his bed to decompose and rot inside his room.

"Any words or sight of Aegon?" Alicent had asked Ser Criston and the other Kings Guard who stood in front of her.

"We checked no sign of him, your Grace." Cole reported to his Dowager Queen. She was picking at her finger getting frustrated and nervous.

Where could Aegon be? Alicent thought to himself. Many thoughts ran through her mind, one of them being, is he dead, had the blacks taken him away?

"Don't stop. We must find him! Don't come to me until you have found him." Alicent got up from her chair making a loud screeching from the bottom of the chair.

Ser Criston and the King's Guards bowed to their queen before walking out of her chamber. The Dowager walks over to the window to see out the view of hers that she recently moved into her old friend's chamber.

Where are you, Aegon? She asked in her thoughts. Was this a sign not to crown Aegon, her son but to crown her childhood friend, Rhaenyra Targaryen?

Otto Hightower would not allow a woman to be on the iron throne. No woman has ever sat down on the throne or ever will be. All he cared about was putting one of his legacies on that throne to rule a realm.

Alicent heard her chamber door opened then closed. She turns around to reveal Aemond, hers, and Viserys's third child.

"Mother, you summoned me." Aemond's coldly tone voice. She nodded and pointed him to sit down as she walked over to her seat.

Aemond obeyed his mother and walked over to the chair with his hands in the back. He puts out the chair not caring if a screeching noise came from the chair. He sat down and placed his hand on top of the table.

"Aemond, the guards had no luck in finding Aegon. If we don't find him at the end of the moon. I need you to Vhagar to find him." Alicent explained to her second son. He didn't know why his mother wanted Aegon so badly.

"If I don't find him. This means that I am the next in line for the Iron Throne. Right." Aemond asked his mother. Alicent looked at her son and sighed.

"Let's not think. We just need hope." Alicent shrugged off the question that Aemond had asked her.

Aemond knew that she was ignoring his question and just stared at it a bit before getting up from the chair. He strutted away from his mother and opened the door, then headed out, letting the door shut. He didn't understand why his mother would not make him King if Aegon was not here or responsible for the crown.

He stepped down the steps and was through the halls that leaned to his chamber. Aemond heard mumbling coming from his eldest sister, Helaena. Aemond went over to her sister's door and the guards who were guarding in front let him inside.

Helaena was sitting on pillows that lay on the ground comfortably. As always whenever he had seen her, she was always embroidery for her children and brothers. But she was embroidery now was a blanket for Jaehaerys. She wasn't the only one who was there, it was two of her handmaidens and her children's twins who were playing with their wooden dragon.

"Aemond, has Aegon been found?" Helaena asked her young brother not looking at him from her embroidery hoop.

"Not yet, but we will find him. No children should be without their father." Aemond reassured his sister.

"Aegon." He heard one of his children speak out calling out for the father.

"The greens will fall off and the golden will rise with stones." Helaena mumbled and continued working on her embroidery.

Aemond caught the words that Helaena had told out. He looked at his sister who seemed unbothered by Aegon's disappearance. His sister knew something that he did not understand or anyone who understood her.

She only knows what had happened to Aegon II Targaryen, the runaway prince.
