Kaycie almost spit out her hot chocolate. She couldn't believe what she heard.
While coughing a little, she said, "Umm umm excuse me?" As she reached for a glass of water that was brought with her drink
" I understand that was a shock to you but let me explain." Savannah said
Kaycie sat in the chair and was nervous about the situation now but she remembered that she did want to be adventurous this summer.
" I recently got approved for being a foster parent and the state will grant me permission look at potential adoptees, showing her a picture of a little girl who she was looking at adopting; at the end of the summer but I have to show that I'm ready to handle this responsibility by showing I'm ready to care for a child."
" Uh ok, I didn't realize that was a requirement for adoption, she does look adorable." Kaycie said. She started to feel a bit comfortable now that she knew the reason.
Savannah leaned forward and placed her hands on Kaycies knees...
" So my proposal to you Kaycie is that you live her with me for the summer and be my baby." She said.
" I will make sure that you are well taken care of and happy and we"ll have lots of fun together. " she said
She continued before Kaycie could say anything...
" I know being a teacher can be stressful and from the sounds of your responses you seem like you need a break."
Kaycie knew she needed a break from all the stress.
" So what I propose is that you be my 2 year old daughter." I will love and treat you as my own two year old daughter."
Kaycie was getting ready to leave but her curiosity got the best of her and remained seated
" The only thing you will have to do is behave like a two year old. You just have to play and I'll handle the daily activities and be your mommy." Savannah said.
" The only things I ask is that you don't fight me or be rude or disrespectful in my home." She said removing her hands from the girls knees and sitting back in her chair.
" So what do you think?" She asked.
Kaycie was still freaking out inside her head.
This lady was nuts and crazy and insane for asking her to do something like this.
