A month later;
"That brat is an idiot."
"Dad, you are a brat."
"Quiet, talking son of an idiot."
"Exactly." Soobin said, making Jungkook confused but soon understanding his words. "Yah!"
"Aish. Keep quiet!" Jin caressed his forehead. It was the first day of a new month when Jin suddenly started feeling a bit nauseous and dizzy. While cooking, he felt extremely dizzy and almost fell, prompting Soobin to shout for Jungkook, who immediately caught him and made him sit on the couch.
Now, both Jungkook and Soobin were arguing, each blaming the other for why Jin was feeling sick.
Father and son stood facing each other, arms crossed, staring each other down like they were about to engage in a high-stakes chess match.
"It is your fault, Dad. Believe it. How could you let Papa get sick?" Jungkook exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. "He's been dizzy all morning! It must be because you made him work."
"What the hell? When did I ever make him work for me?"
"Dad, he's dizzy because he’s been making your favorite stew. How much hungrier can you get, huh?" Soobin retorted, rubbing his temples. "You know, the one with the thirty spices and the constant stirring?"
"Oh, so now it's my fault for having a sophisticated palate?" Jungkook shot back, eyebrows raised. "What kind of excuse is that?"
"Well, if you didn’t insist on the kitchen being hotter than a sauna," Soobin replied, rolling his eyes. "Papa wouldn’t have gotten dizzy in the first place!"
"Are you saying I can’t enjoy a good meal in my own house?" Jungkook said, feeling defensive.
"No, I’m saying that maybe you should consider not turning the kitchen into a steam room," Soobin said, gesturing towards the stovetop, where the stew was bubbling away.
Jungkook huffed and turned to the pot, giving it an affectionate stir. "He knows I like it spicy and hot."
"Well, why can’t you use your billionaire money to make the kitchen a cool place so that Papa won’t feel dizzy and sick?" Soobin suggested.
"Oh right, we can do that. Wait, I’ll contact my personal engineer and talk with him."
"Get a new engineer if he can’t do it." Soobin demanded.
"Sure." Jungkook agreed.
Jin, sitting on the couch and still feeling woozy, facepalmed as he watched the two argue. "Aish," he muttered.
"Can’t you two just focus on making sure I don’t pass out instead of fighting?"
"I am so sorry, Papa. Dad is really stubborn," Soobin said, his concern evident.
"Keep quiet, kid," Jungkook scoffed at his son.
"Anyway, the food is ready. Go and eat. You have school and a meeting. Fast, go eat," Jin urged, trying to push them away.
"What about you?" Soobin and Jungkook asked in unison.
"I don’t feel good about eating..." Jin honestly said.
"How can we eat if you can’t?" Soobin said, his voice tinged with worry.
"Yes, baby, you look too sick. Why don’t we go see the doctor?" Jungkook suggested, his concern growing.
"I don’t want to. Now you two stop being so stubborn and eat," Jin insisted firmly.
"No, I am not eating," Soobin said, shaking his head.
