After another successful performance, both Velvet and Veneer were escorted to their million dollar Penthouse by car as their security fended off the many fans that surrounded the vehicle they commuted in. Velvet simply rolled her eyes at the hassle but did enjoy the praises and signs many of them held up, to bask in the spotlight as they finally managed to walk through and into their seats as the driver started driving away. Veneer on the other hand was often sometimes baffled at the lengths some of these fans would risk to even talk to them or hand each of them gifts, he often has trouble fending for himself when it came to the more touchy and hands-on fans but they would often be taken cared of by either security or Velvet herself if she were to see it was wasting her time.
The ride home was calm, enjoying the richness of the complimentary unlimited amount of drinks and snacks, alcohol even provided with glass cups.
Veneer took some more of the snacks as he stuffed them into his small designer bag, walking alongside Velvet into the hotel surrounded by security and into the elevator they stood next to each other in silence, stiff and suffocating silence which meant Velvet was upset or angry about something he did. Tonight's performance wasn't terrible, it was actually quite fun as they performed in their new outfits, soon the silence was broken as they traveled upwards in the elevator.
"What the hell was that Veneer? It was completely unscripted and against the original plan! Are you trying to ruin us!?" Velvet's voice got louder as she continued to chastise Veneer, her mood evidently soured as she grunted once the elevator doors opened, she stepped out with Veneer following slowly and a bit distanced.
"I'm sorry but it wasn't like I actually planned it! It just slipped out and I was just excited about our new outfits!" Veneer attempted to steer the conversation into another topic but it didn't seem to work as Velvet stopped in her tracks, turning on her platform heels as she got into Veneer's space.
"If you pull another stunt like that, say goodbye to that illegal pet monkey you have! This is the last time I'm warning you!" She jabbed her finger against his chest as she walked off into the direction of her room. Veneer simply stood there, a bit terrified as he released a heavy sigh and walked in the opposite direction towards the studio room, carefully twisting the knob and sliding into the soundproof space as he closed and locked the door. He looked around slightly and softly whispered,
"Floyd..? Where did she put you?" He crept closer, looking up at the shelves for a certain purple bottle, unaware of the softened gaze on him by the small troll as he called out to catch his attention.
Veneer turned his head to the side and spotted the bottle placed inside a cubby, he stepped closer and smiled gently as he reached out and gently pulled the bottle out and held it up, leveling it on his hand as the troll inside pressed his small hands against the glass.
"There you are...I brought you some snacks you might like! Since trolls like sugar, I got you a bit of everything and well...I hope you enjoy.." he babbled slightly as he placed the bottle down gently and pulled one of the nearby wheelchairs close as he sat down. He held his small handbag up and rummaged through it, setting out the many sugary treats onto the table as Floyd alternated between staring at Veneer and the sweets he laid out in a row.
Each looking more colorful than the last. But all decently sized for the troll to hold and to fit through the neck of the diamond bottle.
"There, now which one would you like? There's chocolate bonbons, gumdrops, skittles, sugar dusts and marshmallows...!" Veneer explained each laid out piece of candy while pointing to them. Floyd could only stare and pointed to the first one, a small chocolate bite, veneer reached for it and twisted the bottle open and quickly pushed in the chocolate, then popping the lid back on swiftly.
