As a Rageon, it is necessary to keep your body moving and loose, especially in the cold environments and regions most originate from. It is a public health warning to everyone to learn to take care of themselves in regards to keeping their body warm and safe, so no Rageon ever cracks from the coldest winters and freezing storms that take place on Mount Rageous to all its inhabitants.

Failure to do so will result in permanent physical damage such as cracking, brittling and worst of all, shattering.

Cases for such as those previously mentioned are very low, close to non-existent as the government takes strides in creating shelters and public bunkers for its also very low homeless population, the government takes priority in keepings its citizens protected, from the newborns to the most elderly. Most are funded by public fundraisers and federal funding, as a means to help its population grow and strive in the yearly winter crisis.

But some may say,

'Why go through the hassle of preparing these shelters and teaching their children how to layer themselves? Why not move and live somewhere else? Start anew?'

It's not that simple.

As much as Rageons try to shield themselves from the harsh winters, and everyday cold, it's also essential for their survival. Rageons need cold temperatures, as much as any creature needs warmth for their benefit, it's key to keeping their bodies together and hardened just enough. Rageons are practically silicone dolls that need to be kept at a certain temperature so their limbs don't 'melt' meaning they lose their mobility which can result in much farther complications than simply 'breaking' apart. Cases like those are non-existent, because as everyone knows,

Rageons do NOT leave the Mountain.

Ever.

No one knows what happens if you do manage to leave, some theorize that once you leave, a sudden switch happens in one's body that makes them accustomed to their surroundings. Others say, most don't make it that far before their body turns on them and weakens them severely that they simply die off. But the most outlandish theory would be that a Rageon can actually live out the rest of their lives with the necessary temperatures they need to make up for what they lack. Every theory has its ups and downs, negatives and positives, and the likelihood of their survival but no one has dared challenge them and actually leave Mount Rageous.

Who would ever want to do that? Especially when they have everything they need right where they are?

...

And then there's Veneer...

Veneer: Hey! >:v

Blue: Oops, my bad, toothache -3-'

Veneer was different, his reasons for leaving his home were....understandable to say the least.

He's read books, articles and even magazines depicting the many sight-seeings photographers managed to capture, pictures of other species and even maps created for the sole purpose of having an idea as to where these places were located if anyone were to go out and explore them. Pictures of countless islands, countless kingdoms and even countless creatures big and small were given a spotlight in these magazines that were distributed on Mount Rageous and even in textbooks when introductions to sub-species were starting to be introduced to their education system. It was...amazing, to know there's a whole world out there filled with "Begens", "The Phoenix", "Mermaids", "Fairies" and the one creature that fascinated Veneer the most,

"Trolls".

He's heard countless stories about them, small beings much different than the rest of their mostly mythical world, as they were much smaller than any mythical creature he's read about. That really caught his eye the most, creatures who live out in the complete opposite type of environment he does such as the forest, and it's not just limited to one type of troll. There's countless of them that are viewed by their genre of music, which also surprised Veneer the most as it didn't simply stick to one, but many were created from and delved down into sub-genre for all. He was enamored by their way of living, knowing that music isn't just singing or dancing but instead it's viewed as representation and experiences that come from it.
