Mae Ashburn.
Daughter of Hestia, but wasn't truly the blood-born daughter of the Goddess of Hearth, Home, and Family. This is because she was marked as her first ever mortal daughter.
Mae didn't want that, but fate had a different plan for her. From the moment she was born, a mysterious flame marked her existence.
Hestia, sensing the potential within the child, bestowed her blessing upon Mae, claiming her as her own. This act of divine intervention was rare and significant, for Hestia had sworn an oath of eternal maidenhood, never to bear children. Yet, in Mae, she saw a kindred spirit—a protector, a beacon of warmth in a world often shrouded in darkness.
Mae's lineage was shrouded in mystery, whispered only in ancient prophecies. It was said she descended from a line of forgotten heroes, with Achilles' blood running faintly through her veins. This connection made her special, destined for greatness, but also bound her to a life of challenges and sacrifices.
She didn't want that either, but as the years passed, she grew into her role. She embraced the power within her, the fire that could both nurture and destroy. Mae learned to balance the duality of her existence, always striving to protect those she loved and to uphold the values of hearth and home that Hestia embodied.
At Camp Half-Blood, Mae found a family among the demigods, sharing countless trials and victories with her friends. The war against Kronos left deep scars, but also forged unbreakable bonds. Despite the camaraderie, Mae often felt incomplete, as if a vital piece of her soul was missing.
This emptiness lingered until the day she was fifteen, almost sixteen years of age. However, Mae found herself in Wilderness School through Chiron's insistence to find two demigods and bring them back to camp.
Reluctantly, she accepted and went along with the quest to a school full of high school troublemakers. There, she met Piper and Leo, two of her best friends who she secretly guessed they were demigods too.
And eventually she met Jason Grace, an intriguing guy, on a school bus where he appeared with no memories. However, when they their eyes met, their connection was immediate and profound, resonating with the echoes of ancient myths and long-forgotten legends.
Together, they faced their destinies, finding strength and solace in each other as they navigated the perilous path laid out before them.
