Jace sat at his desk, almost falling asleep only fifteen minutes into his shift. If you had told him, his training in the military would be put to waste, once he got caught in a bar fight, and now he works as a SWAT agent that doesn't pay enough for his own life being on the line, he would've said, that sounds about right. The ex-soilder had always had life rough, so he wasn't surprised that life was gonna mess up his only good quality, his combat skill, then he knew that life was still "looking out" for him.
Rene: Jace!!!
Jace shot up in his seat, almost falling out. He looked up at his senior officer, Rene. A man, possibly 40's, Jace couldn't keep track. With brown greying hair and brown eyes. Rene sighed and leaned on Jace's desk with his hand*
Rene: Jace. There is no excuse for daydreaming, even if we have no mission. Now get back to work, we got to figure out who the Arizonan Drug Organization is and where they are hanging at.
Rene then stood up and walked away, leaving a very bored Jace to his own business. He pressed the power button on his computer, waiting for it to power up. It took the old thing nearly three minutes to boot up. It's a damn miracle they work at all. Jace was about to open a tab, but he felt his need for coffee rising up. He groaned, pushed back on his desk, and stood up. He then walked to the backroom, where two other SWAT officers sat, both ladies, chatting up about boys and gossip, while drinking up their Starbucks coffee. Jace walked to the sink and was beginning to fill the coffee pour with warm water until his radio went off.
Rene (Radio): All officers, get ready. We have a lead on the Arizonan Drug Organization's location.
Jace mentally smiled, finally some action. He quickly rushed to get ready for combat, ready to finally do something today. But this mission was soon to change his life, forever.
