"I am NOT impressed." A teacher said sternly."Exactly what happened?"she asked. "DAE WAS BULLYING ME!" Nyx lied. Dae nudged him hard. "NO I WASN'T! NYX'S IS A LIAR!"
"Last time I checked, Nyx had never lied, but neither has Dae," the teacher said. "EXACTLY! I'M A GOOD STUDENT! NYX IS JUST... IS JUST THERE!" Dae sputtered. Nyx stared at him, a bit hurt. "That sounds like something a bully would say," the teacher said. "NOW YOUR JUST TAKING SIDES!"Dae huffed. "Don't shout at me, boy,"the teacher said. "I.. was just trying to be his friend," Dae complained quietly. "I didn't ask you to talk. Nyx, what happened? Your side first."
"Well, well...,"Nyx stared at Dae weakly. "Well, Dae kept...," Nyx bit his lip. "Dae was disturbing me.."Dae was about to open his mouth to defend himself. "Disturbing you with what exactly?" The teacher interrupted. "My life" Nyx's eyes rolled. The teacher shook her head unhappily. "And what about you, Dae?" "Well, I was just trying to be his friend but he wants to be a loser apparently with no friends!" The teacher looked frustrated. "Enough, clean the hallways you two, it's a punishment." she said. Neither spoke a word, it wasn't the worst punishment so they should be grateful.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"Dae scowled at Nyx. Nyx didn't reply, apparently still hurt by Dae's statement earlier. Was this the only reason Dae wanted to be Nyx's friend? Nyx shook his head. Why was he sad about that? It's not like he wanted to be Dae's friend. "NOW you wont respond huh?" Dae bickered. Nyx had never seen Dae mad, guess he'd really gotten into his nerves huh? He kinda felt pride at that though. "Shut up, you're the one who was trying me" Nyx mumbled.
"What? Do you not want friends!?" Dae argued. "YEAH! SO LEAVE ME ALONE!"Nyx howled.
"OH YEAH?! I'LL DEFINITELY LEAVE U ALONE AFTER THIS!''Dae replied. Nyx looked at him, not thinking he would actually do it. "Pfft, no you won't." Nyx scoffed. "Yes the heck I will, I've given up on being your friend."Dae groaned. Nyx stared at him with doubt. "Maybe I SHOULD be a bully! Quiet kids like you that just sit around denying anyone who talks to them are so annoying!"Dae said.
"Oh I'd love to see you ruin your reputation,"Nyx hissed wryly. Dae was on the verge of pushing him.
"I really need you to know something." Nyx mentioned, the air around them suddenly feeling heavy. Dae stood there, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "What is it, huh?" Dae spat.
"I. HATE. You, you mindless, narcissistic, DULL excuse of a human being. You- You always try to become friends with anyone you see, and that's the bad thing. You wouldn't be able to handle one simple NO from that person you're befriending, that refusal just slides off your smooth brain. Hell, do you even HAVE one?!" Nyx ranted, he continued to ramble and insulted every single flaw about Dae.
Dae gaped at his remark. "T-the feelings mutual"he stammered in disbelief. "Let's put it this way, I absolutely HATE you too! First I try making a friendly conversation cause you looked lonely as hell sulking in the corner of every class! Then you ignore me each time I try to talk to you! If you don't want to be my friend at least you should give me a good damn reason why! Other than the fact that your depressed and lonely and probably prefer to be that way!"Dae screamed.
Nyx flinched at the long retort, before snapping back with one of his own. "Well, maybe I didn't WANT you to suddenly invade my loneliness' ', maybe I wanted to be alone! WHY COULDN'T YOU TAKE THE HINT THAT I WANTED TO BE ALONE!" Nyx grunted.
"OH YEAH!? CAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE A HALF DEAD CORPSE THAT PROBABLY HASN'T EVER EXPERIENCED REAL FRIENDSHIP! SO WAS MY SYMPATHY SURPRISING FOR YOU?! IF YOU CONTINUE ON THIS RATE YOU'LL PROBABLY JUST DIE! WHICH DOESN'T SOUND HALF BAD TO ME!" Dae hollered.
Nyx clenched his fist, as he angrily shouted one more time. "JUST- JUST LEAVE ME ALONE FOR GOD'S SAKE!" Nyx slammed his fist into the locker beside him out of pure anger. "GODDAMN I WILL! IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOU LIED TO THE TEACHER AND NOW WE'RE STUCK CLEANING HALLWAYS!" Dae shouted back. Nyx turned his back towards him, then started to clean the halls again, still fuming with anger.
